Mission: The prince edward volunteer rescue squad is an organization dedicated to providing the citizens of prince edward county with exceptional emergency medical services at a moments notice. At the heart of the organization are its members who are representative of the diverse population in which it serves.
Programs: The prince edward volunteer rescue squad provides emergency medical services to the citizens of prince edward county and the surrounding communities, including two college campuses. The organization is operated and managed by approximately 55 volunteer crew members consisting of emt personnel, certified and qualified as cardiac technicians and paramedics. Over 3,000 calls were logged and serviced during this calendar year. The organization operates five ambulances, one quick response vehicle, and one heavy-duty rescue vehicle to respond to calls. The organization receives operating funds through its squad care membership, health insurance reimbursements, and community and government donations.
