Excellent Organization doing great work in name of ART where i have come across few genuine artists. They have an exemplary bunch of masters in the field of Bharatnatyam, Kathak and music in general. They have been performing several events in the last few years and raising funds for several communities.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Their events and their diverse talent.

PAMPA is an amazing organization that trains students in both Bharatnatyam, Kathak , Music & Percussion. Many students have graduated in these two Indian dance forms under great tutelage of Mrs. Nirmala Madhava who is an artistic director of PAMPA. PAMPA is keeping alive Indian traditions & culture by introducing students to various mythology through dances and also helping them to connect various other cultures by drawaing similarities that exist among them. PAMPA has delivered various services for community in terms of dance performances. PAMPA was the key performer for events arranged by old age home, libraries, cultural socities, fund raisers. PAMPA collaborates with other Non profit organizations to raise money for them and helps to promote art in various other communities. PAMPA experice in a whole is not just learning dance but developing as a complete human being through beautiful form of ART.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

I feel PAMPA is just not a dance academy but its an academy that imparts knowledge of life!

Our three children recieved classical dance education from PAMPA and their great dance teacher Mrs. Nirmala Madhava. We have been with PAMPA for nearly ten years. PAMPA is an exceptional institution that understands the needs of its students, nurtures them, and brings out the best in individuals. We are fortunate to have had our children graduate from PAMPA a few years ago. The school's fundraising efforts through marvelous programs of dance supplemented with technology are a must to see. PAMPA is a family run organization with dedicated members and outstanding volunteers.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

provide free dance education to hundreds of students with their own studio. Indian classical dance provides good health, concentration, increased memory power, discipline, etc.

PAMPA has been an extraordinary Bay area resource for the last several years. Since 2001, I have attended many sold-out concerts of South Indian dance and music it has presented. At first, my family and I seemed to be the only non-Indians in the audience, but as awareness of Pampa has grown, its audience has expanded to include more and more of us. The performances are just the end of the PAMPA chain, which begins with music and dance classes. My son, who studied mrudangam for several years with PAMPA’s Purna Prasad, has gone on to perform in concerts and competitions with other PAMPA students. Both Purna and Shuba Gunapu have been gracious enough to teach me enough about karnatic classical music so that we have been able to perform and record together at several venues around the bay area. In just this way, PAMPA has extended both admiration and knowledge of South Indian music throughout the bay area, and beyond; and throughout the Indian community, and beyond. Nirmala Madhava’s choreographed performances have been delivered over the years in ever more complex and professionally-produced productions, to packed auditoriums throughout the bay area. It is difficult to imagine how anyone could better weave dance, music, story, family and religion into such a seemingly effortless grace. Maybe it is most difficult for me to imagine how effortless and graceful these productions seem, as my time spent learning from and playing with the teachers at PAMPA have taught me how incredibly precise and difficult their music is. NOTHING about this work is EFFORTLESS. It is my sincere hope that PAMPA continues to fill its auditoriums with delighted audiences, and its classes with all ages of students who have the desire to learn and continue these ancient art forms. It seems to me basically good that they are here sharing this work, and it is clear to me that my life has been enriched and improved by the time my family and I have spent with PAMPA.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Grace a larger American audience with an appreciation for the encompassing and enriching aesthetic that their art forms engage.

This organization is unique in every aspect, from the teaching techniques, to choreography, to philosophy.. every bit of it comes out with passion and dedication to not only the art but to help others who are passionate about the same and provide opportunities for them. Not to mention, they help in fundraising for other non profits, being a non profit themselves.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Truly performing arts.. they not only teach dance, but also coach on stage presentation, theater and make the whole experience an enjoyable one.

I Have been with PAMPA for only about a year and a half and I have learnt and danced more during this period than i have for the rest of my life. I learn both Kathak and Bharatnatyam at PAMPA and it's amazing to see how easily our Guru shifts between the two styles. She gives us tons of opportunities to perform and prepares all her students for the stage as early as possible. The costumes are splendid, the music compositions are their own - and completely unique. As a part of PAMPA, the most valuable experience has been performing at the SF Ethnic dance festival - which our group had to audition for. It was priceless. The PAMPA group has been like family to me. Our Guru Ms.Nirmala is the warmest and most creative person I have personally interacted with. I've met my closest friends at PAMPA. It's most certainly one of the best organizations that i have been a part of.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The people and the joy of dancing
