The Orange County Theatre Organ Society (OCTOS) is a volunteer group dedicated to the preservation and appreciation of theatre organs, a uniquely American musical instrument. OCTOS volunteers maintain the historic Plummer Auditorium Wurlitzer and present a variety of programs to allow the community to enjoy this magnificent instrument. The organ was installed in 1930 when the auditorium was built and is one of only a handful of Wurlitzers still in its original home. Over 2,600 pipes plus an assortment of real percussion instruments and sound effects give the Wurlitzer its one of a kind sound.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The Events OCTOS Presents 6 times a year in Plummer Auditorium. Silent Movies, Open Console, Wurlitzer Concerts

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

If I could I would give them a million dollars to carry out Spreading the Word to the public that this WONDERFUL sound exists in Fullerton, CA

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

OCTOS volunteers maintain the historic Plummer Auditorium Wurlitzer and present a variety of programs to allow the community to enjoy this magnificent instrument.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

All volunteers passionate about preserving the wonderful sound of the uniquely American instrument

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Spread the word that Plummer has an original Wurlitzer and provide more opportunities for young people to Learn to play and to hear it.

Ways to make it better...

More and more people would join OCTOS and support Theatre Organ preservation and presentation

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

It is an historical treasure and musical marvel. Mostly only older folks know how wonderful it sounds and how fun Silent Movies can be.

One thing I'd also say is that...

The Fullerton Joint Union HS Foundaton is truly a caring owner of this treasure and backs OCTOS.
