_ the one hundred black men of south florida, inc. (the "100") is a nonprofit florida corporation, which was incorporated in 1989. The 100 is a group of men in business, industry, public affairs, government and other professions who share a common goal of improving the quality of life for african americans and other minorities. The 100 was formed to provide its members with a vehicle through which requisite action could be taken to improve conditions within our community.


The leadership academy intends to transform the motivation of young african american males through the development of interests and skills with an emphasis on education, which leads to the development of a well-rounded, positive, success-oriented individual. Over 60 youths were engaged in the program year-round.

through the christmas shopping spree, the 100 works with other community-based organizations to identify hundreds of economically disadvantaged elementary school aged young people. The 100 provide these youths funding and assistance to purchase gifts for them and their family members for the holiday season

provide thanksgiving meals to over 600 of needy families in the south florida area.

provide incentives and positive feedback for those disadvantaged youths doing well in school to encourage them to continue to do so and be a role model for fellow students. Over 90 children were involved in program.

other community programs aiding collegians, health and wellness programs, etc.
