The mission of National Medical Fellowships (NMF) is to provide financial support to underrepresented minority medical students, to increase the number of minority physicians in clinical care, research, and academic medicine, and to articulate the vital role minority physicians play in eliminating disparities in healthcare and ensuring the well being of our society.

NMF is a phenomenal organization and that provided me an opportunity that allowed me to attain my dream of becoming the first member in my family to obtain a medical degree. The NMF awarded me $16, 000 in scholarships at a critical point, and when I had no where else to turn.
