When Money Wise Women held a conference in Auburn, Washington I attended and was forever changed. The speakers were top notch, and I was able to relate to them. The education offered was easy to understand which made assimilating the knowledge into my financial health feel as good as buying a new pair of shoes. My family's financial well being has never been healthier, and continues to improve because of the continued knowledge and support of this organization.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Read my testimony in Marcia Brixey's book, "The Money Therapist"

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Middle-class working women coming together to learn in an inviting, accepting, and empowering atmosphere changing their lives and bettering the lives of their family's.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Awesome and inspiring.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Widen the conference areas beyond Western Washington, and meet the needs of many, many more middle class working women - needs women don't know they have.

My personal experience with Money Wise Women spans over several years, starting with the drive and desire to learn what I did not know about finances. Being a single mom forces one to be creative in so many different areas of motherly reaponsibilities. This organization helped me in understanding the importance of having a budget, learning how to plan for financial success, etc. I am so thankful for having met Marcia Brixey and her knowledgeable and helpful team of coaches and mentors!

The information I received was very good and motivational. My background is financial planning and I still learned from the tips that were provided, such as keeping track of cash expenditures in a check book log. I was motivated to keep a budget and track my expenses. I was inspired by the fashion show from recycled clothing. Both seminars I attended hasd several different workshops you could choose to attend on a variety of interesting topics, from retirement planning, investing, insurance planning, and estate planning for example.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Taking control of my finances. The speakers at the seminars have been very informative and provide tools that can help.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Do more seminars with more workshop choices. Have more informal get togethers that play the money game. Also, get investment clubs become a part of the program.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Meeting Marcia Brixey and being inspired to do a better job of financial planning for my husband and I.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

The volunteers are very helpful and wonderful hostesses. They are very accomodating and make the day a lot of fun.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Do a lot of Financial Education Seminars for free and loan money to small business owners.

Ways to make it better...

I could find enough time to participate as a volunteer.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Finances and getting the word out.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I appreciate Marcia Brixey for starting this organization.

What is more important than money. It has to be how we use it. When I was first doing the books for Money Wise Women Educational Services, I thought it was a great idea and a needed organization. After I went to my first conference, I realized it was much more. There are such interesting speakers and they deal in all areas of money; from emotional issues regarding earning and spending money to techniques to use in daily life. Money Wise Women teach us to come to terms with the money we have and to get the money we need. It is very much about developing yourself as a person.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

making money real to me. I had to stop and think about my values and what I wanted from money. Then I needed to devise an action plan to go with it.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

do what is being done. That is to reduce the number of face to face conferences and go to teleconferences and electronic media so more women can be exposed to the ideas.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

meeting people and thinking about the ideas given at a conference.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

all reviewing the role of money in their life.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Get to more women and expose them to the thought of making money help you get the lifestyle that you want.

Ways to make it better...

I had followed through more often.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

trying to keep the program new to long term members while getting the information to many who have not heard it.

One thing I'd also say is that...

This has been a great organization for me.

Both of the conferences were excellent! I learned so much from each conference. The speakers and vendors were very informative. The cost was wonderful...so affordable. I go to conferences for my profession, and I can say Money Wise Women conferences are a steal!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

It has helped me feel more comfortable about planning for my retirement, and working towards not feeling anxious about making financial decisions if something ever happens to my husband.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

I have learned in a very positive atmosphere the importance of learning about financial issues (other than balancing the checkbook and paying bills)and getting more comfortable with that aspect of my life.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

All very professional.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Be able to provide conferences all over the state of Washington and perhaps the US. This would be great so that more women could be educated and feel more confident about financial issues.

I found the structure of the seminars to be very helpful to the participants. There was an opening, luncheon speaker and a closing, with breakout sessions at other times. There was a selection of breakout sessions so the participants could chose the topics of interest to them. I spoke on estate planning and would meet with the participants after my session. At times throughout the remainder of the seminar I would be available to the participants for questions. I felt Marcia's topics were of particular interest to anyone, especially women, who generally hide from financial topics. Her approach is from a personal standpoint, easily understood, and full of relevant facts and guidelines. She has a book that covers her basic program, which is easy to read for the financial newbies. I have and would continue to recommend Marcia's seminars to anyone who is trying to take command of their life and their finances. They contain a wealth of information.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

speaking during the breakout sessions as well as taking the course myself as a participant.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Marcia's openness to help the women who attend. I think her seminars are so effective because the women identify with some of the financial concerns Marcia has experienced herself.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

extremely helpful.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

help all the newly single women with more educational seminars and possibly one on one assistance. It could help those recently widowed or divorced women who need help and guidance to get them on their way to financial freedom and success.

I attended several seminars and the classes they offered were very useful and enlightening. I was able to received information on estate planning, credit card monitoring and consolidation, and budget preparation just to name a few. I felt that my time and money were well spent. I also invited my daughter and two friends to join me. They expressed gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the seminars. I am a lifelong customer of Money Wise Women Educational Services. It is my belief that every woman should be able to independently take care of herself. Money Wise Women gives you the tools to become financial independent.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The networking with other professional and nonprofessional women and the feeling of having gained some very useful knowledge that I can apply in my daily life.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

The staff and volunteers were very knowledgeable and kind. I especially appreciated how they treated each individual with importance and respect. I was very impressed with their attitudes and willingness to help in any way they could.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Create so many more confident women who could acquire leadership roles in the world of politics and finance. There is a definite need for women to be more involved.
