Misioneros de camino inc operates a children's complex in guatemala, central america, consisting of a shelter home and a neurological center. During the 2014/2015 fiscal year the organization provided shelter, nutrition, clothing, education and medical care benefiting over 9,000 orphaned, abandoned and malnourished children and their families from the very poor region it serves. In the year, the neurological center provided approximately 64,000 therapies to over 160 children. Other of its services include: neurological evaluations and assessments; special education classes; nutritional assistance to children and families; medications; medical procedures and lab test; training and support group; transportation; medical equipment and wheel chairs. During the year the shelter home housed approximately 40 children providing for all their needs 24/7, including tuition and medical assistance. In addition the organization provides substantial economic benefits to the community by providing employment and contracting local suppliers.
