The mission of the Middle Tennessee Mental Health and Substance Abuse Coalition is to promote understanding and acceptance of mental health and substance abuse needs.
Creative Arts Project serving individuals in Middle Tennessee receiving mental health services with art classes, showing original art in exhibits and sponsoring special events. Creating art and receiving positive feedback on the artwork increases the self-respect and self-worth of the artists. Art is used as therapy in their recovery from mental illness and substance abuse disorders.
