Mission: Since 1922 the Miami Rescue Mission, Inc., a faith-based agency, has served the homeless and needy of South Florida. Our Mission: Reaching Out to the Least, The Last and the Lost of our Community to Inspire Hope with Human Compassion and the Love of God to effect changed lives.
Programs: The Miami Rescue Mission, Inc. operates homeless shelters and thrift stores in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. In Miami the MRM operates the Center for Men, Center for Women and Children, and a Community/Youth Activity Center. The MRM oversees the operations of the Broward Outreach Center (BOC) in Hollywood. BOC opened the Women and Children's Center in July, 2004. BOC was also awarded a county contract to manage a 200-bed homeless facility in Pompano Beach, FL.
