Mission:
Stereotyped and destructive patterns of masculinity play a significant role in the perpetuation of violence and oppression in relationships, communities and societies around the world. The lives of women, children and men continue to be profoundly damaged by this interpersonal and institutional violence reinforced by cultures rewarding dominating power and rigid conformity. Men around the world have begun to organize, often with the help of women, to support each other and challenge violence in their own communities. However, there are still very few role models and resources to provide guidance and support for these efforts. There is no effective national or global network to promote communication, collaboration and a collective voice. The Men's Resource Center Coalition will address this unmet need.
