LifeStriders impressed us with the amount of people they are reaching out to with the funding resources they receive. After familiarizing myself with the organization I felt very comfortable knowing that our donation would be put to great use. Their cause is great but the way they reach out to families and individuals with disabilities is amazing!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the impact that this program has on all the youth that are involved. Everyone is benefiting from their experience there, including the volunteers.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Focus efforts on building an indoor riding arena so that the riding services would not be affected by inclement weather.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
The level of commitment from their volunteer staff and the quality of services offered. Families get very holistic care at this center including counseling services, social skills groups for kids and of course the rehabilitation services through riding.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Young and old with varied backgrounds and levels of skills but all felt comfortable and appreciated.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
benefit so many families all year long if it had an indoor riding arena and warm office space.
Ways to make it better...
I had more experience working with horses.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Lack of indoor riding arena to carry out all portions of the program during inclement weather.
One thing I'd also say is that...
LifeStriders is working really hard to fund raise despite the economic times and are doing a very good job of making every dollar they raise stretch!
