In North Carolina, LCCDC worked relentlessly with SIGI (Stateville-Iredell gang Initiatives to mentor young people and to train volunteers in therapeutic mentoring system. In six months we trained 35 volunteers and mentored 7 released inmates.
LCCDC has developed an effective, specialized mentoring model called "Script-Principle model." The process of mentoring works from a youth Denial to Resistance, then transitioning into Discovery and Learning of new socio-cultural behaivor and then finally into a commitment of new societal living.

Since I am directly involved in the mentoring of the young people out of jail I personally saw tranformation of life due to the application of LCCDC mentoring model. I strongly believe that LCCDC model is the first of it's kind and very effective with young people and it's applicable to different races of people.
