KIDANGO INC
Mission:
In Alameda, Santa Clara, San Francisco Counties, a person making minimum wage would need to spend 62-83% of their income on child care . In the same area in 2005, 8-13% of children ages 0-5 lived in poverty . Our program addresses these community needs by providing free or low cost high-quality childcare services to low income families.
While children are in our program they also receive two healthy meals and one healthy snack a day. For many children, these healthy meals represent 75% of their daily nutritional intake. Our program goes beyond basic child care. Every day, our teachers work to provide a rich learning environment for the children they serve. Our curriculum is child-focused because we believe children learn the best when they are interested in the subject.
We are also fully inclusive of children with special needs and are able to offer early intervention services to parents and children in our program. Kidango recognizes that families living in poverty or ?just getting by? have extra stresses on their daily lives. To help meet this need, we have mental health counselors who work with families in need of mental health services.

I am a parent of 2 children here at Kidango. My daughter has been in the program since an infant and my son in preschool. Kidango has taught them so many wonderful things to get them ready for Kindergarten. My wife and I have to be at work all day long and I feel very comfortable with Kidango ...

I believe Kidango provides a wonderful environment for each child to explore and discover many possibilities who he/she wants to be.
Kidango is a very acceptance place as well as very family oriented.
