Someone who had 3 hours of volunteer time could: deliver meals and a smile to their homebound elderly neighbors in need.
Mission:
Meals-on-Wheels of Johnson & Ellis Counties serves the children of yesterday by helping needy homebound elderly and disabled people remain independent and healthy in their homes by providing home-delivered meals, daily personal contact, and support for individuals and their families.
Results:
We help over 2,800 individuals each year remain independent and healthy. Over 500 volunteers help us deliver meals and so much more to their elderly and disabled neighbors in need.

I have volunteered delivering meals to the elderly. They stress the importance of making sure the mow recipients are doing well, not just with food, but physically and emotionally. They are wonderful and are dedicated to the well being of all of their clients. It is easy to sign up and they are ...
