This is a baseball league operating in Jenks, Oklahoma. It has come to my attention, as a 10 year employee of the league and recently let go, that individuals operating as Board Members are pocketing money and using the NPO for personal profit. I was not given any warning nor was I officially informed in writing of my termination. I have tried over the last 10 years to obtain copies of the leagues by laws. The city of Jenks does not seem willing to assist in the search for the Jenks Youth Baseball by laws.

I have not seen any results of this organization for ten years. Recent attempts to obtain the by laws for the league have resulted in failure. I've tried obtaining the by laws from the league president and the city of Jenks.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
review and revise the by laws, which are over twenty years old and make the by laws available for public review. Depending on available funds, I would reduce the cost to play youth baseball in Jenks, build an indoor training facility and picnic area.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
enjoying providing for the children of my community. Providing the best baseball field conditions to enhance the baseball experience for children and adults in a family invironment.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
at first cooperative, but as I offered more information regarding up keep of the baseball facility the more I was left out. The board members became more distant and less cooperative with me and help that I required to maintain a clean, healthy facility.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
do many projects to upgrade it's facility. There are saftey hazards that need to be addressed.
Ways to make it better...
the members would not have locked me out of important decisions regarding improvements needed in our baseball complex. I was an elected board member, but was not invited to attend board meetings. There is a convlict of interest on the board of directors
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
it's unwillingness to communicate with the citizens who pay for their children to play baseball at the JYB complex. We have asked for a review of the by laws and to this date no by laws have been provided. A complete board review is requested.
One thing I'd also say is that...
with the right person in charge the league could once again be a family oriented experience.
