We met Deb and the ISIS crew when they approached us to partner in the support of the SexTech Conference in SF on April 1st and 2nd. We met them at YU and at their office regularly over a two month period. Our experience with the entire staff was fantastic. They are experts in the arena of sexual health for young people and completely professional in their approach to our partnership. They taught us much about the field and were open to the input of our youth staff. They were encouraging, positive and helpful in the many projects we undertook together. We were so happy to partner with them and look forward to building the relationship over the years.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The feedback we've received from those who attended the conference has been great.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I really can't say. We think they are the best!

I have had the honor of watching ISIS grow from its infancy to become one of the leaders in sexual health prevention and education on a national scale. ISIS has been able to weave its way through multiple fields and position itself as an example and mentor for many other non profits, businesses and gov't agencies working in not only sexual health but also in new media and technology.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

witnessing its programs evolve into better designed and implemented programs with more successful results.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

continue to finesse it's programs to better serve the communities that are most in need and at most at risk.

Working for ISIS has been one of the most incredible experiences I have had! It is so gratifying to be involved in an organization that has it's sights set on reaching as many people as possible with invaluable information about sexual health and healthy sex practices. Before my time at ISIS, I was not as aware of how important new media is in disseminating information to youth, and getting youth and young adults involved in the larger conversations about sex. The work ISIS does is innovative, forward-thinking, and impacting countless young adults and their health.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

talking with people beyond my immediate professional circle. Many young adults I talk to are recipients of one of our many weekly text messages, or have heard of one of our sexual health social networking projects.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

find ways to get even more people involved! ISIS is the future of sexual health education for youth, and I can't wait to see where it's path will lead it in the next few years.

Does talking about sex with adolescents cause them to become sexually active earlier? Should we tell youth about birth control and condoms? These are the questions that we have asked ourselves and found some answers (talking about sex doesn't cause youth to have sex and comprehensive information is necessary). Today, we have a different set of questions. How do young people "hook-up" on the internet and are these relationships more risky? Where do adolescents go online to get information about sexual topics and what do they learn? Can new media be used to engage youth in health promotion activities and to provide accurate and trusted information? These new questions are the one's being adeptly addressed by Deb Levine and ISIS. While many choose to bury their head in the sand or try and keep adolescents from accessing media (aka, my kids aren't allowed on Facebook), ISIS is developing the means to make these new information mediums powerfully useful for youth. They also convene the best thinkers around the world to address these issues in their SexTech Conference. Most important of all, they have a dedication, passion and committment for helping young people that is unsurpassed. I can not recommend them more highly. Look at their website and see for yourself!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Participating in the SexTech Conference and reading the recently released white paper on youth sexuality and reproductive health in the digitial age.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

help them find ways to grow.

I have had the absolute pleasure of working with ISIS over the last few years and I can say I am proud to be associated with such a forward thinking organization. Deb's commitment to youth and education is inspiring. I can not say enough about ISIS dedication to making sure sex education and information is presented in such a positive and realistic manner. I recommend ISIS without hesitation.

I've been following the achievements and initiatives that Deb Levine and her team over at ISIS have accomplished for a while now. However, finally getting a chance to attend their premiere event and delivering a talk gave me a new appreciation for the work they are doing. Bringing together professionals as well as activities/advocates young and old is not usually an easy task. But the ISIS crew made sure it happened. Informative and well planned out - there is only upward for this important organization.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

With the exposure from presenting at the SexTech conference and interacting with all the individuals in the field interested in new media for public health.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Their mission and using technology and new ideas to make it happen. Sexual health/public health is an area that can easily get overlooked. They are making it happen in new and successful ways.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Caring, passionate about their field and dedicated to making the world a better place.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Experiment, test and develop more initiatives for mobile phones - creating apps and programs for various mobile platforms.

ISIS was founded by Deb Levine, a pioneer in... pretty much every area of health education on the Web. Hard to believe that one person can launch Go Ask Alice and the for-profit ThriveOnline, then hit it out of the park with INSPOT, sexinfo and the Sex::Tech Conference. The organization grew, innovated, and delivered while I served on the board. I stepped aside when they outgrew me. Quality product and lean efficiency showed the way to use the Web to other non- profit organizations, corporations, and the public sector. Scalability? Check. Personalization? Check. Usability? Check. ISIS delivered on everything. I've worked with CEOs of Fortune 500 corps, high powered public officials, Olympic athletes. I'm not easily impressed. But call me a fan. I am as proud of my association with ISIS, their courage, and their delivery, as I am of anything I have participated in during my career.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

health promotion, sex education, and innovation. I've been at their amazing conference every year and would not miss it, nor would all the serious players in the field, as well as the up-and-comers.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

help them market the message better--they remain ahead of the curve in a ridiculously fast paced market. People need to know that they were the pioneers in every area they work in.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

being part of a leading edge organization that is always anticipating the next thing.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

young and energetic. There's no blueprint for what they do because they are constantly innovating.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Change the world. Make healthy sex and frank discussion of sexuality a comfortable topic. Dramatically improve people's lives, lower STDs and teen pregnancy. Probably increase the overall education level in the process.

Ways to make it better...

we had a board that could meet more frequently and the organization had more financial stability for long term planning.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

growing staff to the optimal level to get the message out, finding quality staff in a field so new there is no academic preparation, dealing with organizations that try to do the same work but don't deliver, measuring results in a new environment.

One thing I'd also say is that...

it's the right time to jump ahead with the ISIS message of honest dialogue using proven and cutting edge technology tools.

I love thee to the depth and breadth and height your projects reach For the ends of Being and ideal Grace under such pressures that come with the territory.
