Charitable support and operation of a shelter, orphanage and school providing physical, emotional, educational, medical, and spiritual needs of orphaned and/or indigent haitian children.
We provided healthy meals, living conditions, medical care and an education to 53 haitian children under the first year of guardianship. As children whom were malnourished and exposed to emotional trauma, evaluation of many physical and emotional needs were provided and special needs resources identified. Beyond those under guardianship, we provided an education and mentoring to over 400 additional children in the haitain community of belosse. 15 of the 60 first generation young adults raised at hfc are being supported in their transition into adulthood including several in the application process for post-secondary study in haiti, cuba, or the united states.
we provided opportunity for over 50 caring individuals and institutions to volunteer personal time and skills and make a difference in the lives of haitian children. Educational, medical, and technical support & other services including facility repairs and maintenance are provided as their missional trips to haiti.
in addition to providing all care, including meals, for the children under our guardianship, hfc provided all 400+ community children attending our school and our 65 staff members a hot nutritious meal.

Three of my nieces were (and soon 3 nephews will be) adopted from a orphanage in Haiti that is supported by Hope for the Children of Haiti. My daughter and I visited the orphanage in Port-au-Prince. It is well run. The children are provided with a strong moral foundation. Three years ago, my brother and sister-in-law adopted a 14 y.o. who had lived in the orphanage for 9 years. My niece is a caring, sensitive, and well-adjusted person. She is always helping other, she has pride in Haiti, she smiles and laughs and cares from deep within her soul. I have no problem donating money to HFC of Haiti because I have seen and experienced how the money is used.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
my adopted nieces.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
care for and educate Haitian children and EMPLOY wonderful Haitian men and women at the orphanage.
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
