Mission: To promote a system of care that optimizes and maximizes healthy outcomes for pregnant women and young children.
Programs: Healthy start - healthy start program services are support services provided to pregnant women, infants, and young children identified as at risk for poor health outcomes with goals of reducing infant mortality, decreasing low birth weight births, and improving infant/child health and well-being. During fy 14/15 a total of 7774 women and infants received healthy start program services. During fy 14/15 a total of 3187 pregnant women received momcare program services. (momcare is a component of the healthy start program).
healthy families - the goal of the healthy families program is to prevent child abuse and neglect before it ever starts through voluntary home visiting services. During fy 14/15, 158 families received healthy family program services.
outreach and family engagement services. During fy 14/15, a total of 380 individuals received neonatal outreach and wis services. During fy 14/15, a total of 313 individuals received community cafe services. During fy 14/15, a total of 68 individuals received family engagement services.
Healthy Start is the evidence that there is something greater that we can be part of. It is a fruitful nonprofit that shows results and generates positive changes within the community. Healthy Start takes the nonprofit nature to a further extension of operations because it assumes babies and families’ lives seriously, as seriously as for every staff member to work with their hearts.
