Havre De Grace Decoy Museum, Inc.
Mission:
The Decoy Museum is private, non-profit collecting and educational institution whose goal is to illuminate the interrelationship of trends in social, economic, and technological history as they relate to decoy production. For centuries, the heritage and culture of the Upper Chesapeake Bay region and Havre de Grace, in particular, have been inextricably linked to duck hunting and decoys. We seek to understand the decoys' artistic and social values and to pass on this heritage to future generations. The Museum also documents and presents the influence that the Chesapeake Bay and Susquehanna Flats has had on waterfowling and decoy history.
