Someone who had 3 hours of volunteer time could: strengthen our grassroots campaign to pass greyhound protection laws and end the cruelty of dog racing.

Programs: We pass greyhound protection laws, do extensive research on the dog racing industry, and promote greyhound adoption.

Formed in March of 2001, GREY2K USA is the largest greyhound protection organization in the United States. As a non-profit 501(c)4 organization, we work to pass stronger greyhound protection laws and to end the cruelty of dog racing on both national and international levels. We also promote the rescue, rehoming and adoption of greyhounds across the globe.
In 2008, we led the passage of a ballot question in Massachusetts to phase out dog racing. We also helped pass legislative prohibitions on dog racing in New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Our research has led to the exposure of hundreds of media documented cases of greyhound cruelty and neglect, including dogs testing positive for cocaine, dogs suffering terrible injuries and dogs experiencing severe neglect at racing kennels. We also authored the only state-funded greyhound adoption program in the nation.

These are facts about the president of Grey2k USA. Christine Dorchak lies about her train "accident" to tug at the ... more »
I am a Mexican-American from Tucson Arizona. I was very offended when a Grey2k Board Member made a very racially insensitive comment about people who like to go to the dog races. On a Grey2k Facebook page, this board member made the statement "educated white people don't go to bet on the dogs". The ... more »
