Mission: Goldwell open air museum preserves, presents and encourages artistic exploration in and of the amargosa valley near death valley national park. The mission is achieved through the care and presentation of a 15 acre outdoor sculpture park near the ghost town of rhyolite and through an artist residency program in the museums nearby red barn art center.
Programs: Goldwell's artist residency program supported two artists in fy 2013-14, cecille massart and david ohlerking, providing each artist with lodging and studio space, but no stipend or travel support. .
public programs. In addition to operating its outdoor sculpture park on a 24/7 basis and welcoming approximately 180,000 visitors , goldwell presented a printmaking workshop benefitting 12 individuals.
