Reviews for Genesee County Casa For Children
As a CASA volunteer I was able to be a powerful voice in the life of a child who had been negelcted by her parents. Through visits and contact with the child, I got to know her and what she liked and became one of the only positive female role models she had. Through difficult times, CASA was able to assist the child and her mother to access educational services and mental health services that were so desperately needed. This child is now a mother and has finished school. Without a CASA volunteer, she was on the path of dropping out of school and becoming the next generation of an uneducated parent to her child.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the community by having more children paired with caring adult indivdiduals. The consistency that CASA provides is something that abused and neglected children too often are lacking.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
recruit more volunteers so that every child could have a CASA volunteer.
