I am a volunteer with the Citizen Command Center Database. We have over 7000 facility records on the database of organizations who do wonderful things. I have to say I am most impressed with Fuel Relief Fund as they not only get the job done, but do it on short notice in the most cost effective way. When the earthquake hit near Japan, I would imagine that they were making plans before the first wave of Tsunami hit. He knows how to go to a disaster area and get the contacts and information he needs to be effective right away. I give this organization a five-star rating for sure.

I am a volunteer who has focused on medical disaster relief after Hurricane Katrina and the Haiti earthquake working closely with the Citizen Command Center Database and the Haiti Epidemic Advisory System. I would like to give my wholehearted recommendation to anyone looking for an NGO to support for disaster relief. During the first months after the 2010 Haiti earthquake, I heard that there was a guy delivering free fuel in Haiti, I thought it was one of those too good to be true scenarios- probably hard to reach and with a lot of strings attached. Before spreading the word to the medical community in Haiti, I checked the offer out by calling the number given. I was shocked and delighted to get Ted Honcharik right away and find out it was indeed true. He is a down to earth no nonsense kind of guy. Many hospitals and clinics in Haiti reported back to me that they were so grateful to get this crucial support. Generators are the life blood of all facilities responding to disaster, yet this is the only non-profit NGO that does this work. Thanks and Kudos to Fuel Relief Fund.

My name is Kesney Auguste. A week or so after the earthquake struck Haiti on January 12, 2010, I became in contact with the Fuel Relief Fund (FRF) organization. I met with the founder and CEO of the organization, Mr. Ted Honcharik through my sister, Ms. Kerline Tofuri, on their humanitarian trip to provide quick emergency relief to the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. I was blown away to witness the steadfast efforts that Mr. Honcharik exhibited along with his profound compassion in doing all he could possibly can, in a relatively short period of time, to deliver his much needed help to the people of Haiti. Help which positively impacted the sick, the wounded, the hungry, the very young to the very old, as well as the security of the people of Haiti in a time of darkness. Darkness that FRF transformed to "light" through its delivery of free fuel, which was used to power up small, medium size to big generators. For two months straight, FRF proudly delivered free fuel to hundreds of poor families, police stations, churches, clinics, orphanages, hospitals, small to very big NGOs, and to several tents cities throughout Haiti. To this day, people from all walks of life in Haiti including government officials are still calling and writing to inquire when and if Fuel Relief Fund will return to support them once again or for a long time to come in Haiti. Judging from the quick and long lasting impact that FRF has had on the Haitian people, it is fair to claim that this organization is for real; its greater focus on changing the lives of the less fortunate speaks volume.
