Last year my daughter did a color run for the Smile Train India. It would have not been possible without the help and support of FOIS organization including the people that participated and helped and donated to it. Thank you FOIS for giving back to community .
A great team of friends and enthusiastic contributors to the community with good morale !
I have been member for so many years and every year they are reaching new heights by undertaking various cultural programs and as well as community activities.
They have honest no nonsense leaders who keep the show running flawlessly. This is an organization one should learn from. I wish nothing but success for them in many coming years ! Keep it up !!
Where to start? A great organization working to bring together people of different cultural background through several events like kite festivals, bone marrow transplant sign up events, supporting MS city to shore bike team, youth education etc. Important also raise funds to support needy school kids through project book bag.
Great team!!
Friends of India Society (FOIS) organizes wonderful and unique programs to bring together people of all ages and different ethnic & cultural backgrounds. The scale of their Kite Festival is mind boggling and beautifully organized to bring together thousands of people. They provide a good platform to motivate and develop young volunteers who will be our future leaders.
FOIS helps many other non-profits in many ways.
I have participated in the programs and activities of this organization since its new beginning around 8-9 years back. Folks who manage, run and volunteer for it get it so well. The leadership has shown consistency in their vision to build, nurture, and grow this non profit and build relationships across the community. They have made their presence known in the region and positively impacted and continue to impact many lives through their support for social and charitable causes.
Hi
My first interaction with Friends Of India society was around 3 years back. They are actively engaged in the community and carrying out many social activities for all ages. I am highly impressed with their above and beyond approach in community awareness programs and helping others. I wish them all the luck in future endeavors.
This is a great organization for the youth to be a part of. It teaches them traditional values and makes them feel as if they are really making a difference. And they are. The events that this group organizes are also very phenomenal the, the Kite and Color Festival being the best and the biggest.
They do great work for the Community in the Vineland area. Not only do they bring great events to our area but they emphasize community service and youth development.

It is my pleasure to write about this wonderful nonprofit in Millville, NJ. In the year 2006, I attended their first Indian Cultural Dance night, Navaratri and was very much impressed with the team. Most of the organizers were fresh, new to the community organization but with lots of enthusiasm. I immediately decided to join with them. Since then I have served on various positions on the board. The best thing about this non profit is that everyone is a 100% volunteer in this organization. Not a single penny is being spent as a salary or for any kind of expenses for the board members.
The main objective of FOIS is to preserve and promote rich Indian culture in the South Jersey region. We are very successful in this through our annual Kite and Color Festival and Navaratri. The Kite and Color Festival has grown from 250 to 1800 participants in just 7 years. The Navaratri event has also grown to more than 500 participants. The most important thing is that the participants are from all walks of life and of different ethnicity and sexes.
Apart from this, we also have our Sunday school called " Sanskaar" which means the Values in Hindi, a national language of India. We have adopted a park in Vineland through Sanskaar. Our members clean this park quarterly. We also conduct Winter Coats and Food Donation Drive for local Salvation Army every year thus instill a sense of Good citizenship into our younger generation.
Another highlight of our activities is "Project Book-Bag". Every year we sponsor 600-700 book bags to under privileged students in Mumbai, India.
