I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
My experience includes seeing under served and at risk students able to and eagerly engaged in self-affirming arts activities. The families are most grateful, particularly in the summer when these kids participate in a daily 5-week program that is offered with the local school district providing the space and each child is able to take different classes taught by professional instructors. The classes include unusual things such as cooking, HD moviemaking, ceramics, musical theater etc.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
The organization needs to have professional development staff to provide support and guidance for the volunteers. The organization is now 5 years old, has one very part-time clerical employee, has about $50,000 in CDs and raises about $42,000 per year gross.
