Reviews for Feline Rescue And Rehome Inc
I like cats, so thought it would be useful to help this rescue and maybe make some friends too. I offered to volunteer and was given papers to complete, so they could have me on file. Then nothing. Months went by with no call, no contact of any kind, until their yard sale. What a joke. Mostly junk scattered around a church parking lot for sale. No organization, no schedule of workers, no customer service, just piles of shoes, dishes, clothes, VCR tapes, books, no shelter from rain or other bad weather, and no prices on anything. I offered to foster a cat, but again, did not get any communications. Guess they don't need any help after all.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
yard sale fund raiser, monthly clinic
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
this group of all elder women should invest in getting organized to better help the public. Most calls go unanswered and unacknowledged. The yard sale is a total disaster, with nothing but junk scattered in a parking lot! It's a wonder this group has survived at all.

What one change could this group make that would improve your volunteer experience?
I know a couple friends who offered to volunteer. They weren't ever contacted or followed up with. Contact with volunteers is mostly nil. No idea what it takes to get into "the loop", they operate as if it's a secret society of cat ladies! Aren't 501(c)3 non-profits supposed to have everything public? Including board meetings, board minutes and all financials, as well as being organized to have volunteers and encourage them to help?
Did your volunteer experience have an effect on you? (teaching you a new skill, or introducing new friends, etc.)
I not only wanted to volunteer to help felines, but for social reasons too. Both were a miserable failure because nobody in this organization encouraged, informed, trained or called with information, dates, times or instructions about events, other than the yard sale. They are so needy for help, yet fail miserably with volunteers.
How did this volunteer experience make you feel?
Disgusted, sad, useless, time wasted, confused, non-professional.
