The international federation of fly fishers (ifff) accomplishes their goals by teaching people about the sport of fly fishing through many educational opportunities and the annual fly fishing show. The educational opportunities provided include how to fly cast, how to tie flies and how to fly fish, in general. Ifff also has a collection of fly fishing artifacts that are displayed at their national headquarter office that educates people about the history of the sport. The ifff funds grants that are used by their clubs and councils for local conservation projects throughout the united states. The ifff also provides an educational magazine (twice a year)to their members and distributes it through the many fishing fairs and expos that the organization attends. Additionally members receive 12 electronic new publications each year. In 2014 approximately 1,000-1,500 people benefitted from ifff's annual fair activities. Also 10-15 small conservation grants are given out each year.
