Family Service Association of Western Riverside
Mission:
Family Service was founded in 1953 by the Junior League to offer low-cost mental health counseling service to individuals and families who could not afford or obtain services elsewhere. In 1985, Family Service recognized the necessity for providing community- based and diversified services to meet community needs. A community and client centered approach was adopted with an emphasis on meeting client and family needs in a comprehensive fashion by providing assistance and service for a variety of needs at the same time and location. The goal of Family Service is to provide social and human services to families and individuals while empowering and enhancing the quality of their lives. The ultimate goal is to enable individuals to become a contributing member of the community and society.
