The Equine WellBeing Horse and Donkey Rescue is a hidden gem East of Snowflake Arizona. The many volunteers, take excellent care of the horses and donkeys that call this place home. It is just a tranquil place for abandoned, sick or homeless equine may find refuse. I personally have volunteered my time for the amazing non profit. It is very rewarding to see these special animals get forever homes. I would give the Rescue five stars for the care they get while staying at the Rescue.
I'm a volunteer at Equine Wellbeing Rescue and give the top rating to this rescue. If I were a horse or donkey in distress this is the place to recover. Christine and Lary make sure the animals are well taken care of. It is also beneficial that Christine is very knowledgeable as a vet tech and in Equine dentistry. She not only helps the rescue horses but goes above and beyond to help advise on personal horses. Christine offers safety training courses for volunteers along with emergency medical kits. There are many benefits to volunteering at EQWBR but most of all seeing the horses and donkeys come in and recover from their situation then placed in loving homes.

We can't thank you enough for the loving care you show the horses and donkeys at the rescue. YOU make a difference!!
I have been a donor for several years now, and following the stories that are with each, and everyone of these rescues that Christine takes in. The transformation of so many of these animals that really needed a helping hand and landed at this rescue are amazing!!!
This Rescue also has a program to help community horses when an owner Has fallen on hard times and Needs help with feeding their equine. These days That type of valuable health is hard to find, but this rescue steps up to the plate each and every time.

I have been a volunteer for 5 years. EqWBR is an amazing organization. Excellent training, great people and have learned so much about the care of equine. This organization provides support to communities not only across Navajo County but other areas in the state.

This is an amazing organization helping so many in need. Christine and Lary are incredible and great teachers. Learned so much from being a volunteer with Equine WellBeing Rescue. Would recommend to anyone interested in learning more about equine while volunteering, this is the organization you want to join.
I recently started volunteering at Equine Wellbeing Rescue and have witnessed nothing but excellent care of all residents, including a great feeding program and top notch veterinary care, including treatment in Phoenix when needed. The horses who have landed here have come for varied reasons, but they all needed help to thrive.....and this rescue provides just that.

We cannot thank you enough for the time you spend caring for the horses, donkeys and mini mules at the rescue.....and your friendship!
“Animals are near and dear to my heart, and I’ve devoted my life to trying to improve their lives.” – Betty White
Even though Betty White is no longer with us, her genuine loving/kind/caring spirit is being carried within the heart of Christine Griffin. Equine WellBeing Rescue Inc. {Equine WellBeing} has been a charity that I {Lynda Pierce} have supported and believed in for several years.
Not only has the Lord given her a gift of a committed/dedicated heart to care for his treasured/cherished horses/burros, but also a business acumen to pursue financial avenues through community outreach, grant submissions, etc. to continue her work. As a result of these efforts, she is beloved in her community {Snowflake, Arizona} and numerous businesses have donated much needed financial assistance knowing full well that the dollars will be used for the purpose intended.
Having each of the respective animal’s quality of life in mind, she has the skill to determine what is the best course of action in relation to his/her health issues. When quality of life is in question and with a saddened heart, Christine eases the “Angel in Waiting” onto the road to the Rainbow Bridge.
I have had the honor/pleasure to visit Equine WellBeing and care for some of the animals. Such peace is present as you spend time with each of her beloved/well cared for “fur babies.” With this sense of peace and Christine’s kindness/caring radiating to people as well, she has assembled an incredible volunteer team that has impacted the Rescue in so many dynamic ways.
I know my words cannot adequately describe Christine and her mission of healing/caring, but my fervent hope is that you can see and feel beyond my words. When she reaches out for help or should your heart lead you to donate independently, please know you are contributing to a legacy of hope for a horse/burro that can be saved.
Christine Griffin is truly our present day “Betty White”!!!!!

Equine WellBeing Rescue 05/08/2024
Lynda, I am humbled by the beautiful words that you have expressed so eloquently. Blushing to be considered a present day "Betty White".
This rescue has an amazing community response to rescue needs in the area. 100 % dedication to the care and rehabilitation of the horses and donkeys in their care. Finding great adoption homes when needed or offering life time care to the more fragile cases. Christine and Lary Griffin, with an amazing team of volunteers, are the backbone of the intense quality of care for each special case that comes through the gate.

A wonderful place to volunteer where wonderful work happens! I am so grateful to be a part of supporting local equines in need. I've volunteered at many places for many years, and EqWR is the best place I've volunteered for yet! The training, support, resources, and communication are top-notch. What's better? Horse and donkey cuddles and kisses!!

Thank you so much Meghan. It is a pleasure to have you as a volunteer and you bring so much experience and knowledge to help all the fur babies at the rescue....and the rest of us too!!!!
EqWBR is a 100% volunteer organization that provides and cares for horses, donkeys and minis. In 2023, 40 equines came into the rescue, many needing special care for various illnesses or injuries. Through love, care and dedication they are all thriving today. Volunteers have the biggest hearts.

As the founder, board member and president of the organization I have to say that our success is because of the FABULOUS PEOPLE WHO SUPPORT IS IN SO MANY WAYS.
From volunteers, to adopters/fosters, donors, fellow rescue organizations, local community, people around the world who follow us on Facebook, Homes for Horses Coalition, Unwanted Horse Coalition, ASPCA, A Home for Every Horse program, Walmart, Sox for Horses, and YOU! Every one who supports us in different ways is part of a loving team that works together to provide for equine in need.
We THANK YOU ALL so very much!!!!!
My husband and I chose Equine Wellbeing Rescue to serve as volunteers. We chose this rescue because so many community members told us they were reputable and did great work.
As volunteers we see first hand the passion, commitment and hard work in action , all to insure top notch care is provided to all equines.
Everyone is a volunteer at this rescue, no paid staff. The priority is definitely quality care , community, safety, and teamwork.
We have been so impressed with how this organization is run and are proud to be volunteers. So many horses and donkeys in need!!!

Equine WellBeing Rescue 05/08/2024
We are truly blessed that you both chose the rescue to volunteer. You brighten up the place every time you are here and both to SO much to help. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
This rescue is just amazing. I have been following them for years, and have been so impressed. I love their policy that, if an equine that they have accepted to their rescue and compassionately rehabilitated finds a wonderful home...but something happens, EquineWellbeing will lovingly welcome that horse...or mule, donkey, back. How wonderful to know that these animals will always have a home! And I think about how hard Christine, Lary and volunteers work...the trips, some long, some in dangerous driving conditions, to answer a call for a equine in need. Getting up in the middle of the night to treat a sick animal. The cleaning, the building of shelters, the feeding. They work so hard, and it doesn't matter if they are tired, the animals come first.
Well done,EquineWellbeing!

Equine WellBeing Rescue 05/08/2024
Maggie, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on the rescue with everyone. You have been such a wonderful supporter over the years and you are appreciated more than you know!!!! THANK YOU!
Equine Wellbeing is the best rescue ever! They do so much good the equine and the community. We were fortunate enough to adopt a mare from them that was terribly malnourished. They brought her back to health like they do so many others. The founder and her husband are both full time volunteers. Recently Christine, the founder, set her alarm to get up multiple times throughout the night to doctor an eye injury in a horse that needed drops every few hours. Christine and her husband, Lary, also spend hours on the road transporting injured horses for care in the closet major city that's about 2 hours away one way. Their dedication is beyond belief. If there's one rescue you want to support this is the one.

Thank you for being wonderful adopters and taking such great care of Noel for all these years. We know she is loved and spoiled and after the years she suffered, you are THE BEST family she could have.

Equine Wellbeing Rescue is truly the BEST rescue you will ever find. The President and Founder, Christine Griffin, is the most dedicated person I've ever met. She treats every animal with such love and compassion. I said every animal....horse, donkey, mule, goat, dog, cat, etc. She is truly a gem. She actually brought me a "loaner" horse to keep my horse company after his buddy passed away. Then I had the good fortune to adopt one of her horses permanently. I can not say enough good about this organization. If there is just one rescue you can support, make it this one!
I run another horse rescue in California. When one of our adopted horses, who lived in Northern Arizona, needed to be rehomed, I did not want to haul her all the way back here and looked to see if there was a local, reputable rescue that could help me out. EWR stepped in to help our horse and when the first placement did not work out long term, they made sure they got her back and placed her safely in another home. These days, the number of rescues that actually stay on top of where their horses are and take them back as many times as it takes to get them into the correct home is dwindling fast. Most rescues adopt them out and forget them. EWR is a truly honest old-fashioned rescue that puts the LIFETIME safety of the horse first. I highly recommend supporting them with your donations!
Equine Wellbeing Rescue is an amazing place. I've been following them on Facebook for quite awhile now, they keep us posted daily and take the best care of all that come to their rescue. They are very dedicated to every single resident, giving them the complete care they need. Christine and Lary go over and beyond to rescue so many in need, get medical care for the sick or injured, and help other organizations when they can. I have donated when I can knowing every single cent goes to the animals. I wish I could physically be there to volunteer as I know they appreciate all that do.
Christine and her team at Equine Wellbeing Rescue are an outstanding equine rescue! They have such a great heart for horses.

I have followed this rescue for quite a long time and As much as I admire Equine Rescue, I find myself asking questions that they may find silly. I Love Horses but am not familiar with allot of there care. Yet Christine and others are so patient with my question and are very kind in doing so. I usually watch from the time a rescue comes in and they handle them with kindness, love and much patience. This is a place, that a Horse can be just a Horse.....
is is a place for a horse to just be a horse.
I follow this rescue on Facebook and love what they do to help out those animals in need. With loving, caring hearts they give to those in need. I myself had knee replacement surgery in January 2023. I had thought I would be okay financially while off work for the healing process. When my short and long term disability fell through I was in need of help getting feed for my 3 Arabians. I contacted Equine Well Being Rescue because I had seen on their Facebook page where they had helped others in this need. I was contacted right away and a months worth of hay was paid for at a local hay supplier I buy my hay from regularly. I had tears of thanks rolling down my face during the phone call with this rescue. They helped me and my trio of Arabians during a time of need. They gave me relief so I could concentrate on healing. I believe in and stand behind Equine Well Being Rescue.
EQWBR Inc. is exceptional in their care, knowledge and long-term vision with rescued horses, donkeys and mules. They look to the long-term quality of life for each animal and make decision and treatment plans accordingly.
I adopted a horse from the organization several years ago and it's been life-changing. Some animals come to us for divine reasons and this is one of them.
Thank you for thinking of me when you took on Ms. Tempest.
This rescue is the best!! Very honest, caring owners who are very transparent with the operation of facility & activities of the herd. They go above & beyond. I have supported several rescues in my time & this is by far my favorite! We were fortunate enough to adopt a mini donkey from them & it has turned out to be a wonderful experience.
They go above & beyond.
I would love to upload photos of my reasons for supporting this rescue, but I can't get past your limits...
I only support organizations that align with my ethics, my passions, and who use their donations wisely. For these reasons I have supported Equine Wellbeing for many years. I've adopted a sassy mini donkey and a big beefy quarter horse from them. I really appreciate the level of support and expertise I receive from EWB that helps me be the best adopter I can be.
They are authentic and have my full support!
This is a wonderful rescue that provides a great safe haven for many equines when they have no where to turn to. I have learned so much volunteering here for the past couple years. Christine and Larry are truly one of a kind, and the true heart and soul of this rescue. Blessed are the equines in their care.

My family and I have volunteered here for over a year. I had absolutely no experience with equines, but I can confidently say I am at ease with them now. I have acquired so much knowledge here. The amount of love and dedication that is present in this rescue is extremely evident in how well the equines here are taken care of. I look forward to many more years volunteering here, and many more wonderful experiences.
I was introduced to Equine Well Being and Christine (and Lary and her amazing village of volunteers) through mutual friends who are very involved and supportive of this rescue (and their own). As an avid horsewoman, animal advocate, and champion of the work that so many small sanctuaries thanklessly tackle every day, I have been overwhelmed with joy to have the honor and privilege to be part of this family. Though I am in Colorado, I feel a part of what they do every day and so connected to their passion and unrelenting commitment to what they are doing.....rescue, community support, training and all with zero judgement. Just support and love for the animals they become the wardens of without question. I am so grateful to be a part of this community, however small, it means the world to me.
I got involved and started donating with Equine Wellbeing Rescue when my family told me about them. My family volunteers there and they have also adopted from them. I would also if I lived closer. I follow Christine and Lary on social media and watch and read all the stories and journey's they have taken to rescue and help in every way possible. I cry when I reads them from the start of the rescue to the happy tears when these beautiful souls are healthy and healed. These people are truly special in what they do. The volunteers are wonderful to help with this organization, so they are able to do their best. This world is a better place because of them all.. Thank you all so much..
Equine wellbeing Rescue does a fantastic job helping out in the community. From temporary feed assistance to rescuing equine that current owners are no longer able to care for themselves.. The rescue is able to take on special needs cases, and help others find homes for their equine when they need help. The rescue does a fine job caring for the equine at the facility. providing good feed, shelter and medical care as needed.
Equine Wellbeing Rescue, Inc is just amazing in all the work they do. They are always there to support the needs of so many in the large rural areas of North Eastern Arizona. They never back away from a challenge of an equine that really needs help. They drive lots of miles to pick up an equine to give them a better life. They loose a lot of sleep and cry a lot of tears when one is not doing well and worry when they get one in bad shape. I've watched them rehab many many equines over time and admire the work they do. Thank God they exist and have helped so many.

Equine WellBeing does excellent work. They are exceptional at taking in senior equines others have essentially tossed away since they are old or don’t take the time to find out how to properly care for them with their senior dietary needs. It’s so sad people do this but thankful EQWBR is there to step in to give these equines the rest and proper care they deserve after years of service.
Wonderful nonprofit rescue!! They saved my horse’s mama when she was pregnant. They gave her a safe place to have her baby named Chance. They rehabbed and trained the mom & Chance. I adopted Chance & she has been the best horse! Christine & her staff has kept in contact with me through all these years!! Love this rescue ❤️❤️

I rescued my mare from Equine Wellbeing Rescue about 6 years ago. It has been such a pleasure to work with this rescue. I am truly thankful for everything they do for the horses in their care. They go way beyond the duties of an animal rescue ❤️ They rescued the horse which was pregnant with the horse I adopted. They took in the mare & nursed it to health, made sure it had a live birth then helped mom & baby. They trained & rehabilitated both mom & baby. My horse, Chance, is alive and she is a wonderful horse because of this rescue. These people dedicate their blood, sweat & tears for these animals. I am forever grateful. Terri Allen
I was introduced to Equine Wellbeing Rescue many years ago through a friend of my daughter's. I am so emotionally overjoyed when I watch an emaciated equine slowly returned to well being. I have donated to them every year since that first introduction, visited them once and fell in love with Willow and Sable and so many others. Now that I am living on a fixed income, I have reduced the number of non-profits I donate to but I will always donate to Equine Wellbeing Rescue.

The Equine WellBeing organization has an incredibly amazing heart. Not only do they rescue and nurse ailing and near-death equines back to life, they haul tanks and water and hay to wild equines and other animals who would otherwise die horrible deaths. Their efforts are tireless, with no regard for time of day, day of the week, weather conditions or fires. If there are equines in need, Christine and Lary will do everything they can to find ways to help. Equine WellBeing leaves me awestruck! They are amazing.
My friendship with Christine and Lary dates back many years. During that time they helped me find amazing homes for 2 of my young ponies when I couldn't keep them and sheltered and loved an older horse that I wound up with until he passed. Their rescue is the best I've ever seen. They provide services to their community, delivering water to the local wild horse herd every year since this awful drought became entrenched and they also have a fund to help folks in need feed their horses. All this, and they care for usually 40+ equine on their property. They are loving and caring, and know how to keep their rescue solvent so that the equine there will have a home for as long as they need one. They absolutely take back any equine they have placed any time for any reason. Add to all this Christine's mad skills as a vet tech and equine dentist and you just can't find a better place for equine in need to wind up. They are the BEST ! And this is my wonderful equine partner Pal who came to me from Christine and Lary 8 years ago. He is so much loved and, if anything ever happens to me, I am secure in the knowledge that he will, of course, go back to Christine and Lary and be much loved there.
What a wonderful and great feeling following this rescue. Christine is absolutely amazing. The horses and donkeys she rescues and the transformations that happen are miracles! There are angels out there and Christine and all who help her are them.
A poorly run rescue that prioritizes personal gains over compassionate care. Adopting from this rescue means you are stalked and forever tied to a callous, ingenious woman . When you have the choice to adopt from a rescue, make your new friend comes from somewhere where your experience is enhanced by their presence and expertise, not a lifelong burden after you've fallen in love.
I have followed and donated to this rescue for over a decade. Christine and everyone there are the best of the best! She does the right thing for every single horse that comes through the rescue, whether it be refeeding a starvation case, providing medical care for horses/donkeys/minis, or hauling thousands of gallons of water for thirsty horses during the drought. She consistently goes far above and beyond to take such good care of all the equines. I have visited her facility in Snowflake several times and it is impeccable. Everything is clean, the horses are well fed, watered, and sheltered. Christine and her team work miracles to save horses from some pretty dire situations. In fact, I adopted my mare from Equine Well-being. She was originally a starvation case and Christine and her team were able to you use the refeeding program and bring her back to health.

I adopted my mare from Christine 2 years ago after being a supporter for many years. Every horse that comes to their rescue is lucky and Christine and Lary work miracles bringing horses back from the brink of death, abuse, neglect, etc. I never dreamt that I would have the kind of horse like my girl and they made the perfect match for me.
The people at Equine Wellbeing Rescue are the hardest working people I know. They travel throughout the southwest rescuing and transporting endangered animals to their Rescue Ranch in Snowflake, AZ.

They provide a tremendous service to the equine population both here in the White Mountains of Arizona as well as neighboring states.

Thank you so much! We appreciate all you do to help small animals here on the mountain. Your clinic and staff are awesome!!!!
This rescue center is very experienced and the care for all the animals is top notch. I have seen time after time how the rescue center goes and pick up emaciated/starving horses. The transformation is just out of this world how they care for them in just the right way so they put on the right amount of weight each week.
I was introduced to Christine & Equine Well Being Rescue almost 8 years ago. I have adopted 3, fostered 2, volunteered to help with hospice and wound care off and on throughout all those years. I have found EqWB to be compassionate, knowledgeable, ethical and a valued addition to our small rural community of Snowflake, Arizona. I personally donate financially as well as my time to support this wonderful organization.
Christine and the team at Equine Well-being are awesome! They truly care for every equine that comes into their care. They are really amazing!
I've had the pleasure of volunteering with Equine WellBeing Rescue since 2020. I've learned so much about horse care, rehab techniques and medical treatment during this time. It's given me a fantastic foundation to prepare to adopt my first horses. I'm very grateful.

I've had the opportunity to volunteer with Equine Wellbeing Rescue for almost a year. This is an amazing, caring organization that always has the equine's best interests at heart. I am blessed to be a part of the organization.
I started following Equine Wellbeing Rescue Inc. about the time that Rimson was rescued. Even had the chance to visit while on a long weekend in Show Low. It’s amazing all the work Christina, Lary and all the volunteers do to help these equines. I donate as often as I can to this wonderful rescue.

We are looking forward to your next visit!
Equine WellBeing is s phenomenal rescue. We have gotten 3 wonderful horses from there. They operate with love, compassion, knowledge, and have the best volunteers and professionals to see to their every need. In the heat, snow, rain, wind, dust storms whatever you want to throw at them, they are out there doing what needs to be done. They are so very committed to every being they take in. I can't recommend them enough.
I am the former executive director of an animal sanctuary. I have known Christine for 12 years and have followed Equine WellBeing via Facebook and newsletters. They are amazing! When I became totally disabled 2 years ago, this rescue took in 8 of our equines. They will live out their lives there. I highly recommend this non profit and urge you to support them.

I have known the founder of this wonderful organization for 11 years and have followed the work they do. Not only do they rescue, rehab and find homes for equines, but they also provide a permanent home to many. The care and management is excellent. I say this as someone with degrees in vet technology and equine science. I addition, they provide many community outreach programs to help others. This organization deserves your support.
A year and a half ago my wife and I had just moved to Snowflake AZ. We were looking to get some horses. We looked around to see our best options on how to get a few. We have always loved adopting animals from rescues so we looked around.
That when we found the equine well-being rescue. We went for a visit to see what they were all about. We meet Christine who talked to us a while, asked what we were looking for. At that point we knew Nothing about horses. Christine was berry knowledgeable and shared some of it with is. We walked around learning about some of the horses she had at the rescue two of the horses a mother and daughter came up to us. Known then as Bunny and Nutmeg; but now known as Salt and Pepper. We fell in love with them and adopted both of them. We love our two ladies so much.
I have even become a volunteer at the rescue. They are always willing to share their knowledge if you ask. They are really good people and are willing to help out in any situation.
I became aware of EquineWellBeing Rescue Inc. several years ago through some of their community events. I visited their facility several times and observed that the director and volunteers were genuinely dedicated to their mission.
I have owned and been around horses all of my life so I do have some basic understanding of horse nutrition, health and well-being.
A little over a year ago I had the opportunity to consider fostering a horse from Equine WellBeing. (My existing horse was injured and required a year+ off.)
Since last spring I have been fostering an Arabian mare from EWBR that experienced some tough times between owners. She is a handful in many ways but I have not regretted the decision and it has changed my view of horsemanship.
Christine Griffin has helped educate me in many aspects of horse ownership and issues that I had not dealt with before regarding equine health and behavior. She has continued to be a supportive resource in many ways.
If anyone is considering volunteering, fostering, donating or adopting from EquineWellBeing, I urge you to contact them. Not all the equines are suitable for riding but the quality of life that we can extend to them is supremely rewarding.
Please enjoy the pictures of Ms. Tempest!
Rimson's story brought me to Equine Wellbeing and I have followed them ever since. They do great things!
I have 2 horses from the rescue. I have fostered an older horse for the rescue to help get out of the colder winter up in Northern Arizona. The rescue took in an elderly horse of mine to help him escape the harsh desert summer. The rescue is very responsive, and takes amazing care of all animals in their care. The contract and adoption process is easy and clear. The rescue also supports the local community through helping with resources for AZ wildlife.
The story of Poco the donkey, which was beautifully documented by Equine Wellbeing, touched me so deeply that I bought a number of books to share with people I felt needed a boost in their life. The odds of his continued life with his physical disabilities were slim but he refused to quit. We think we've had bad moments in life until we remember Poco's solitary suffering. Equine Wellbeing's exceptional loving care though their volunteers allowed Poco to finally experience a good life and a family. Please read the book!!! Gary Hackney
I have been supportive of many organizations over time. The commitment to these beautiful animals is nothing short of amazing. It's heartbreaking work and we are thankful!
P.s. I'm especially fond of Mr. Rimson ♥️
Let me start by saying…5 stars aren’t nearly enough!
Our journey with Equine Wellbeing Rescue started in the spring of 2019 when we moved to the area and adopted 2 wonderful donkeys and 2 horses from them. The young horses we adopted needed more time than we could give. We were so sad to have to give them up. Christine was so gracious and kind when she took them back. She never made us feel bad or guilty for not being able to give them the home we so badly wanted to give them. Christine and Lary ALWAYS go above and beyond to do whatever they can for Equines. On Christmas Eve this year my husband and young daughter were in an accident while pulling a trailer with a horse. I called Christine to see if she knew of anywhere we could leave the horse for the night. The next thing We know Lary is on the 2hr one way trip to pick up the horse the take him back to the rescue to be cared for…CHRISTMAS EVE NGHT!
This world could use more souls like Christine and Lary! The selfless way Equine Wellbeing Rescue is run cannot be matched!
They help horses and donkeys in need, including providing water to thirsty wild horses! This rescue goes above and beyond to care and rehab so many equines. Without them there would be so much more needless suffering of these majestic creatures.
I can’t say enough good things about Christine and Larry. Their relentless work with the horses and donkeys that they have taken into EWR is unmatched. The compassion, loving care, and healing environment they have created is just priceless. So many mistreated and malnourish equine have been brought back from the brink of death through selfish dedication and their very hard work. Our own two donkeys were rescued from a hoarder in Texas by EWR. Only 5 months old and badly under nourished, EWR put the word out for would be adopters. They answered all our questions, stupid or not, and helped guide us into having two new family members. Gracie and Gordon are such a joy. We are so thankful they were brought into our lives and so grateful there is EWR to help other animals with life threatening issues and or situations.
I am so excited to contribute to Equine Wellbeing Rescue. Not only can I see what they are doing with contributions on frequent Facebook posts, including videos, I receive emails, as well. The fact that they are a rescue, the videos of animals they are helping, really show us what good they are doing. I’ve even had the opportunity to go visit the rescue, and they let me come see the animals for myself. It was so very special for me.
I was desperate to find the best place, someone I could trust, to rehome my horses. Our family loves these animals but due to a series of unavoidable events. we sadly needed to rehome.
I had dealt with Equine Wellbeing the prior year and really liked the way she screened people for horse adoption as well as her policies when adopting.. I tried for about six months to find the right homes for both horses with no avail. I could have easily sold them, the money was not the point. Finding loving forever homes was my only goal. I reached out to Kathy and she was a saving grace. My heart is now at ease. At Equine Wellbeing they truly care about the animals they rescue. They don't just find homes for the animals , they find the right homes!!! Not only that but they give peace of mind by following up with animals after adoption and have a return policy they uphold. .. I love it. Thank you Equine Wellbeing. The work you do and your true love of horses is amazing.. Your work is truly a blessing..

Christine and Lady are amazing. What Equine Wellbeing Rescue does for the horses, donkeys, and minis as well as helping others in need is just over the top. The animals helped and the lives saved makes them the charity I always donate to. If you visit the rescue right off you can see all of the good things being done to help the animals. Again this season they are involved in helping to get water to the wild horses and forest animals due to the extreme drought we are experiencing. They should always be recognized as the top nonprofit.

Equine Well Being is a rescue that is based in northern Az which is very rural and has no other horse/burro rescues. There are also two Indian reservations very near. There is a great need for care of sick, injured, and unwanted animals. I have not met Christine and her husband in person, but have talked with her many times over the phone to get her assistance with animals in need. They have a great facility for the horses and burros and use mostly volunteer workers. Since they live a ways from me, I help with donations. This organization is well run and a humane and loving place for animals in need. Northern Az is lucky to have Equine Well Being!
I can't say enough good things about Equine Wellbeing. I adopted two mini donkeys from them a few years ago. Christine was so knowledgeable and gave me wonderful advice and information on how to care for my beautiful boys. They take in sick, injured and neglected equines and care for them with such love and compassion. They have helped owners to feed and care for their horses when owners needed a helping hand in tough times. They have helped wild horses with much needed water to survive. These are just a few of the many many wonderful things they do. Every horse, donkey, mule they care for have a piece of their hearts exchanged with a piece of Christine and company hearts.

I adopted 2 miniature donkeys from Christine last summer. I had some experience with equines but had never owned one. Christine was wonderful in answering all my questions and helping me with the adoption process. She is a remarkable woman and her passion to help these beautiful creatures is amazing. The world needs more people like her and her volunteers.
Equine Wellbeing is so incredible! They help every equine in need no matter what the situation or cost. They never say "no." Not only do they rescue, save and give whatever health care is needed but they devote themselves to providing ongoing shelter, care, love and quality of life for each and every animal that they help. They care deeply for these animals and treat each one as a cherished member of the Equine Wellbeing family.

This equine rescue is very close to my heart. I helped the owners Lary and Christine Griffin find their property many years ago as the capacity as their real estate agent. After meeting them we became good friends and now I am a regular supporter and contributor and truly appreciate everything they do to help not only the equine but also the community.
They are such dedicated animal lovers and I am proud to know and support such a wonderful organization.
Thank you.

I met Christine and Lary when I sold them their home in Snowflake. I have been a huge supporter of Equine Well Being ever since. Their tireless efforts to help save the lives and give these beautiful animals a happy and healthy home is amazing. I support them financially when ever I can and feel so fortunate to consider them my good friends and support such a worthwhile organization.
Thank you Christine and Lary for all you do!!
They helped so much with and injured horse and assisting some neighbors that got in over their head with some horses. I could not recommend them enough!
AMAZING!!! This is the hardest working, most selfless equine therapy going!!! They're not just a rescue, they are a dedicated part of the community, striving to make a difference. They not only take care of their own animals and rescues, they haul vital water to a diverse range of wildlife, and assist community members that are in need of resources to help their animals. What an outstanding team of people!!!
Christine and Larry and the gang are just the best. They are so responsive to the needs of rescues as well as seeing that the horses in the wild have water during this time of serious drought. They're very careful about who adopts and are ready and willing to help people who are unable to take care of their horses. We've been supporting them for several years now. Equine Wellbeing Rescue gets a AAA+ rating in my book.

So incredibly amazed at the hard work, love and care Christine Griffin and her team of volunteers have put into rescuing horses, many in desperate situations. Can't say enough good things about Equine Wellbeing Rescue, Inc.
Amazing nonprofit. The equine are their number one priority. Loving care to say the least. Additionally, the owner gets the entire community involved and supporting the rescue. Fundraising and support is ongoing and is followed not only by the community but by 100s of supporters online that the owner’s efforts have developed. It’s a pretty fantastic place.
I love how much they care for the animals in their care, as well as helping the wild horses and other wildlife. Who knows how many lives they have saved.
Christine and family I've known since they were in Ramona Ca. Ive watched them grow to become one of the most respected rescues that is out there. There continuous efforts to help the community they now serve in Arizona mountains equine. Rescuing the fallen and injured horses and burros and providing water to the native land animals has been heroic. They provided me at one time with one of my favorite horses along with conversations that helped me at a time in need.
This is such a great place! I’ve been volunteering at EQWBR for a few months now, and I am still amazed at how well the animals are doing. Christine and Lary put their heart and souls into this place and helping all the wildlife in the area. This summer they have hauled countless gallons of water to save the lives of deer, elk, wild horses, cattle , every animal , large and small. These critters had no water, due to extreme drought conditions in Arizona.
The horses and burros here are very well treated and fed. I’m proud to help here and have learned so much. Keep up the good work, Christine, Lary, and all the other great volunteers! We need this place!
I was there the night Rimson was attacked by the mountain lion right outside my fence. He was only 6 days old. Rimson was staggering with a huge bloody slash visible on his neck. Our flashlights and yelling at the mountain lion prevented a second attack as the mountain lion was crouched down in the bushes waiting to attack again. Rimson wandered for a night alone and the next evening wandered into my neighbors yard, they called me to let me know they had him contained in their backyard. I was so relived that Rimson was alive. They contacted Christine and Larry at Equine Wellbeing Rescue who did not hesitate to pick up Rimson that evening. I am so grateful to Christine and Larry for their knowledge and relentless efforts to save Rimson's life. Their love and pursuit to rescue those in need is such a noble cause. I'm grateful to them and all the volunteers that care so much. Rimson has a very special place in my heart.
Christine does an amazing job caring for rescue animals, mostly horses, donkeys, etc.I first heard about the Equine Wellbeing Rescue when sh rescued a baby that had been attacked by a mountain lion. She nursed Rimson back to health from deaths door. She not only does this wonderful work with injured and starving animals, but she and her husband Larry have been hauling water to the animals in the forest that are in need from the drought and fires. I have been donating to this rescue for two years now. They are amazing people, so caring and loving.
Equine well being rescue does an amazing job of caring for horses, donkeys, mules , even an occasional goat in need. Some of the extreme cases they've had are heartbreaking. Christine and her staff and volunteers step up and take on whatever comes their way. They rehome these animals when possible and give them love and vet care as long as they need.
I love this rescue, they are small and devoted to helping horses from abuse situations, abandonment and even caring for the wild horses and wildlife in their area by leaving tons of water out for them in this long term drought. I have been a long time supporter after searching for a small rescue I could help.

This rescue is the real deal. Every dime that's donated goes to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of horses, donkeys and mules. They are very compassionate people and have recently set up a group to help struggling horse owners in their area with hay and feed. I highly recommend donating to this worthy charity.

Equine WellBeing Rescue 03/10/2017
The many years have flown by since we first worked together. You are a remarkable lady with love and passion to share. Many blessings my friend!
Equine WellBeing Rescue is amazing. They work tirelessly to help equine. Besides providing hay and feed assistance to those struggling to feed their horses they rescue many needy and emaciated horses and donkeys. Once equine are rescued they provide a safe place for their feeding rehab including proper vet and farrier care. They also adopt out horses and donkeys once they are ready for loving homes. They've also added water delivery to the wild horses and animals in our forests. With the unprecedented drought in our area this is a life saver for so many animals. If you were to support one rescue this would be the one! We've adopted 2 horses from them and couldn't recommend them more!

Equine Wellbeing Rescue is the most wonderful rescue in the world in my opinion. They help so many horses and donkeys. Two of my horses were adopted through them. One that was rehabilitated by the rescue that was near death from starvation. Equine Wellbeing Rescue is the BEST. My adoptees, Trooper and Noel, happily living out their years in retirement now.

Equine WellBeing Rescue 06/03/2020
Thank you for adding Trooper and Noel to your loving family!!!
I answered the call for help in November of 2017 when , Christine the founder put out a plea for help as she had pneumonia from trying to do it all heself! I have never looked back and continue to volunteer with this wonderful organization!
Truly caring for the equine, I have been present and witnessed first hand the selflessness and dedication Of Equine Wellbeing Rescue. From foals dying in the drought or attacked by mountain lions, to emaciated and aged. Good people doing great things!
We have been the lucky adopters of two miniature donkeys from Equine Wellbeing Rescue. Before we were allowed to become adopters, we were interviewed and our home was inspected to make sure that we could provide a good home for the donkeys. Equine wellbeing loves and cares for all of their equine guests and does a great job of placing each animal with the right family. They are always available for questions and they do a great job of keeping their supporters informed of the happenings at the rescue, as well as local and national events and news related to equines. We are so lucky to have found this incredibly caring rescue and hope to add another donkey to our herd soon.
Equine Wellbeing Rescue is a great organization and does great things for animals. We have a rescue horse from them. They have helped us in so many ways. They have come over to make sure things are going well with our horse. They do such great things for these rescue animals. They are there for us when we have questions.
They are very kind caring people.Ive been following the progress of Rimson the wild colt attacked by big cat and left by his herd. They have done an amazing job with him and all of the animals that they care for!
Love these folks. Always been there to help and give shelter and safety. So many rescues are just in it for the wrong reasons, but Equine Well-being Rescue has always done the work for the right reasons.
Wonderful equine rescue in Snowflake, AZ that saves horses from going to slaughter, abuse, provides emergency medical care, etc. It’s truly amazing to see before and after pictures of the rescued horses! Christine and Lary put a lot of love and hard work into rehabilitating, providing a sanctuary, and also rehoming these beautiful equines.

Equine Wellbeing Rescue is a true champion of abused and neglected equines. There work is consistently miraculous; from rescuing starving horses to abandoned foals they save lives. The quality of care given to their equines is second to none while operating on a shoe string budget. The Director, staff and volunteers are caring, experienced and get the job done. This Rescue deserves accolades and substantial financial support!
Great group, I donated when Rimson came there and I watched the care they gave him and others! This group is doing fantastic work and needs all our help to maintain the special care needed for these animals
I have donated to this charilty because of there outstanding commitment to both the wild horses and both domestic horses and livestock in this Beautiful StateAZ
I am so proud to have found this group. What dedication, hard work, true love and commitment. Saving lives and making other lives better.

They go above and beyond to help animals that are abused, abandoned or hurt. Just look at what they did for little Rimson in such a short time !! He was on the edge of death when they took him in and now he is happy, healthy and strong. They have a wonderful way with animals and will do whatever is necessary to save them.

Thank you Karen!!!!
I started following this amazing group of human angels when drought was threatening the lives of so many wild horses 2016. These folks found a way to get water to the horses that included hauling it themselves. The selflessness of all involved and the whole community touched my heart. These folks save lives. The wildlife cannot survive on its own.
This is a nonprofit that all profits go to these beautiful creatures.
My donation was small, and I still got a thank you. They let me know it mattered.
I can’t. We can.
THEY WILL!

We found Equine Wellbeing rescue in July 2019 when a foal injured by a cougar found it's way to our porch. We phoned the rescue & even though it was a Sunday night two staff members from the rescue came out to pick up the little guy. He needed many hours of care over the next several months but today he is a survivor & we are now volunteers at the rescue. This is an amazing place where horses, donkeys & minis are brought for rehabilitation when the need arises. Every animal is cared for with lots of love.

Equine WellBeing Rescue 06/03/2020

These folks are the real deal. In times when rescues are financially failing and failing the horses they try to rescue, Equine Wellbeing is fiscally strong and, with Christine's extensive equine knowledge, they are able to take in the toughest cases and, in 99% of cases, save them. I first met Christine several years agothrough a trail association we both belonged to. She first helped me place two colts who had to be placed quickly, and later offered another horse for whom I took responsibility sanctuary for the rest of his life. She finally sent me my heart horse, who I hope will be with me for the rest of our lives. Darling Paladin.

This horse rescue is amazing! A slice of heaven on earth! They are angels placed on this earth to remind that love is the foundation for miracles, which help make the world a better place! The care and love provided to the horses is so evident as you view the stories about the horses rescued that were on the brink of death, be restored to health. Horses horribly abused by humans are able to trust and love another human because if this rescue. Miracles happen at this place and those of us who are lucky enough to follow the rescue have the opportunity to watch the miracles happen.

Equine WellBeing Rescue 06/03/2020
Thank you so much for supporting our mission and your friendship.
I have been a volunteer for 2 years at this amazing rescue. I have witnessed several equine come in as their last hope, and regain their strength, weight, muscle tone, and most of all the change in their trust of humans. After 3 or 4 months, they developed a twinkle in their eyes! That’s my favorite time!
There are other horses and donkeys who have lost their families due to hardships. These equine are welcomed with open arms and eventually are adopted to the right person or family.
Christine and Lary are amazing at putting this rescue first in their lives and they are so dedicated, even with the sacrifices it takes! The health and wellness are first and foremost when those in need are brought in. After the healing of body and mind, the horses and donkeys are patiently trained or tuned up to be adopted to loving, caring homes.
Equine Wellbeing Rescue also provides feed or hay to those who are struggling now.
They also helped the herds within the forest nearby by donating their time and resources to provide water and hay to the wild horses during a severe drought season.
To me, this type of dedication, hard work, responsibility, and the love of equine makes Equine Wellbeing Rescue a successful and amazing place!!

This rescue is the real deal. My only regret is that I am not wealthy to give more. Well, actually another regret that I probably will never get to visit in person. I started following EWR when they first got Rimson. I watched as they took this poor, scared little foal who has been attacked and wounded, and nursed him. Day and night they devoted themselves to helping that little boy heal and eventually, thrive. Then came Buddy. Another little guy with serious issues that only dedicated care and lots of love would help him overcome. As with Rimson, he got it. Now it's such a joy to see the boys hang out together, get into mischief, play, sleep in the sunshine, and thrive. EWR is a blessing for those animals. They go above and beyond .

The Equine Well Being Rescue is a wonderful place. They really care about the horses and donkeys they rehabilitate. It is kept very clean and the horses are well fed. I truly believe in this rescue and their mission. I visited for their open house and fell in love with a little colt Rimson, who they saved from a cougar. He is growing to be a beautiful horse. He also has a friend they just rescued named Buddy. I hope they can continue to do this great work, through donations. So if you can please help them continue this great work.
This is a non profit rescue in my area the White Mountains Arizona. We have been to there location and see the work they do. It is so caring and loving of the beautiful creatures they work so hard to help. This is such a hard job they have and we want so much to help them. When you visit there facebook page and see the animals progress it is so heartwarming. Please visit the two colts that have had such a rough start to life in there first week of life Rimson and Buddie. You can see there daily progress and you will fall in love with them.
How they care about animals and go way above and beyond to make sure an injured animal has EVERY chance possible, it's amazing... just beautiful and purely amazing!!!!
Please do all you can for this organization~ please... They ARE the REAL THING!!!!

Equine Wellbeing Rescue is a unique organization that gives exceptional quality care for all their equine residents. Christine goes above and beyond the call of rescue to make sure they find loving forever homes through adoption and fostering. They provide great service and are active in their surrounding communities as well as nationally.
We read about Christine and her volunteers in our local newspaper, The White Mountain Independent several years ago.
We were moved by the stories she shared about the rescues she had made and gave them back their lives. She shares before and after pictures of her rescues so we see what she has done.
The before pictures are heartbreaking, but the after are heartwarming.
She and her team go far and above to ensure they get the care they need by Veterinarians, near or far, the food, the love that they lost due to neglect from previous owners.
If owners who do love their Equine, but cannot care for them, reach out to Christine, she is there to help.
The most recent saving measures she has made that will stay in my memory forever, is how she worked so hard to help the Heber Horses survive during one of the worst droughts Arizona has gone through.
She and her volunteers again were there to bring water troughs and water to the forest to
make sure they had water on a daily basis.
Word went out and companies in Show Low AZ assisted her with materials she needed to get the job done and these horses being taken care of.
I cannot think of a more deserving Rescue Facility, a wonderful Woman, Christine and all her helpers to be awarded this well deserved nomination.
Thank you Christine

My husband has loved horses since he was a child. We ran across Equine Wellbeing Rescue Inc.'s website and read about all of the wonderful things they have done and are doing.
We decided to donate to this great cause. Christine always sends out the articles relating to this cause and lets us know what is being done, as well as when additional help is needed.
It takes special people to be able to handle the rescues she receives and be there to help them through their recovery. Christine and her staff fit that "bill" of special people.
We had planned to go and visit Wellbeing last summer when we were in Overgaard and unfortunately were unable to make it. However, this year we will place that phone call and make arrangements to pay a visit.
We will continue our contributions to this wonderful cause. God's creatures need more people like Christine and her staff to keep our animals alive and well.
Thank you Christine.

We respect and support equine rescue groups that give so much of their lives to the well being of the animals they rescue. Equine Wellbeing Rescue Inc. is a group that other rescues should emulate. We know that the money their raise goes to the animals. We k now that their aim is to recover and safely re-home every animal they can. They have had our support for years and have earned it by their reputation. We are proud to sponsor them. Raymond Petterson, President of Sox For Horses, Inc.

Christine Griffin is one the best, most caring, professional, hard working women I have ever met. Her ethics and actions in regards to the animals in her care, and the people in whom she places these animals in the care of, further make statement to the imense love and compassion she feels for these animals, who have been neglected, abused, and cast aside. The animals I have adopted from her have brought such joy and purpose into my life. Thank you Christine and Equine Wellbeing and all the volunteers, fosters, and donors for making a difference in the lives of so many animals and humans, alike.

Thank you so much for all you do to help the rescue and your support.
In the case of Equine Wellbeing Rescue I measure their success not by quantity of equines placed or saved. I measure by the impact that their actions have on their community, both near and far. I count not just the donors and supporters but by the community. This smaller rescue has a vast amount of volunteers and they never fail to achieve a job due in large part of their support from the community. Case in point. They needed shelters for 4 paddocks, a grant was written which raised half the funds, financial donations for a third shelter and the fourth was donated by a local construction company. Their "Gimme Shelter" work party included over 20 volunteers, small and large business such as Tractor Supply and Walmart, providing food and support. Local contractors graded, dug holes, and procured materials to make this possible. It is no wonder they were just recognized as the Chamber of Commerce's Non-Profit of the year!
As a former small business owner I appreciate the support both received and given by Christine and her crew to the local area. This rescue moved to Arizona from California 8 years ago to small town of 6,000 and it continues to receive support from California, another testimony of the integrity in which it operates. I am privileged to be a very small part of it's success. Please consider Equine WellBeing Rescue as a worthy recipient for your media package!
Thank You

Thank you for your assistance with grant writing, adopting two mini donkeys from us and everything else you do to help.
Christine and her "helpers" so impressed me that I just had to hop in my Jeep and drive on
down to visit. I was not disappointed! She has created a HOME for these orphaned, neglected,
abandoned horses. No one cares more than Equine Wellbeing. Christine is not only educated,
trained and experienced in caring for in-need horses, she is sensitive, understanding their emotional well-being and need for love, affection and attention. No wonder her rescues THRIVE! There is no rescue that cares more, that can compare.

EWR is the example of how a rescue should be........caring, complete wellbeing of the horses they rescue. The animals come first and everything possible is done for their health and safety. Christine and Lary work tirelessly in an effort to bring the horses health where it should be, then find the perfect "forever" homes for each one . This is a tremendous job and they do wonders for the animals. Kudos to them.

Ashley, Thank you so very much!
This is an awesome rescue. I have the opportunity to visit a few times each summer. Wonderful rehab environment for those that can be adopted out later and wonderful home for those that stay for the remainder of their lives. Christine and Lary are always adding shelters, fences, services, equipment, and etc. that will better the lives of those in their care.

Nicole, we were so saddened to learn that your house burned to the ground and so happy would could help you with fencing, food for your livestock and other items. It seems like so little when your loss has been so huge.
We are so lucky to have EquineWellbeing Rescue Inc. in our area. They are always there to help with equine rescue. This group of dedicated professionals lead by Christine Griffin goes above and beyond to help all equine. Last year during our terrible drought she lead the way in organizing a group to save our wild horses in our area. Truly a wonderful nonprofit!

You financially support the equine here at the rescue and offer lots of great health care advice too. We are so blessed to have you as part of the EqWBR family.

Christine and Lary do a very professional job of running EquineWellBeing. This rescue helps not only horses but other equine as well. They have received numerous accolades and awards for the wonderful job they do in helping equine in need. I know that my donations go to the benefit of the animals and that the animals are receiving the best care possible. I don't know of a rescue better than this one to support with your time or money! Thank you, Lary and Christine, for all that you do to give these animals a second chance at a wonderful life! Jan F.

I cannot say enough about this wonderful horse rescue! Christine Griffin and her husband Lary are extremely dedicated to helping equine in need. This rescue is well run and genuinely helps animals who come from situations of abuse, neglect, or abandonment. I highly recommend supporting Equine Wellbeing Rescue financially or as a volunteer. Jan F.
Wonderful people, loving, caring and knowledgeable. They helped my new horse, Buddy, find me. He couldn't perform heavy duty riding anymore but is perfect for me and has a partial retirement! Here is this 25-30 yr old horse running around announcing the birth of our new foal. He must have experienced everything but seeing a baby! Every horse has their own personality!
Christine and her husband run a first class rescue for equines of all sizes and ages. They always go above and beyond to provide whatever care is needed and love them for the rest of their lives ❤️ They provided a wonderful last home for a 30-year-old gelding I found.

Over the last 6 years, this rescue has held many roles, helping owners with financial difficulties manage to keep their horse and tiding them over during a rough spot , rescuing horses in desperate need , providing sanctuary for horses that are seniors or companion only, providing excellent around-the-clock nursing to sick foals, networking and finding the perfect families for the equines under their care and when necessary, providing a compassionate end and burial for these beloved animals.
Christine Griffin and Equine Wellbeing Rescue has afforded us many joyous moments through the adoption of our BLM Mustang Rebel, and our two girls Maizy and Molly, both mini mules. Her program provides forever homes for animals whose previous living conditions had put them at risk, and I'm proud to be a supporter.
I am a donor and two times adoptor! This organization is so well managed! And what I love most is the no-guilt return policy. We adopted a donkey, and just didn't click with her. We were invited to trade her, and we are so in love with our new little guy!!!
This is a great place to donate and get involved!

Such heart, dedication, and knowledge!! I can't say enough good things about this rescue. They take in animals headed for slaughter, local animals who are starving, and helped me when a friend was in desperate need for her horse. In addition, Christine makes herself available to help answer questions for regular horse owners, like me!
The most important thing you should know is that your donations are used wisely, she can really stretch a dollar! please give!

We are so glad to be supported by the community and your support and friendship means a LOT!
We have adopted from Christine several times. and when we needed rescue ourselves she was there, and the relief to know our sweet equine would have the soft landing they deserved meant everything.
What inspires people to give to charitable organizations? For me, it started in childhood, with volunteering to help with church and community outreach programs. As an adult, I pledged to various charities through the United Way via payroll deductions for many years. Although I know these things made a small difference in helping the end user, I didn't see tangible results until I discovered my current charity, Equine WellBeing Rescue, Inc. (www.EquineWellBeing.org and on Facebook- Equine WellBeing Rescue Inc.).
Equine WellBeing is a 501c3 public charity (Fed ID# 45-2835562) that provides rehabilitation, sanctuary and hospice services for horses, mules and donkeys in need. This particular rescue was my choice because it is within a couple of miles of my home in northeastern Arizona, in the White Mountains. The charity has almost no administrative costs that would detract from funds doing the most for those in need. Having gone 'horse crazy' in second grade (according to my parents) this association follows a normal progression from 'professional volunteer' to donor/volunteer at an equine rescue.
I have donated funds, goods and volunteered at the rescue for the past 2 years. This includes going to remote locations to transport equine in need with the director, assisting with veterinary procedures (I am a registered nurse with experience in emergency and critical care), feeding and socializing equine at the ranch, and day to day work on the ranch.
My husband and I have adopted two horses and a donkey, and later deciding to foster two yearling horses, again to allow Equine WellBeing room and funds to take in additional equine.
Some of the residents of Equine WellBeing Rescue were neglected and/or tortured prior to coming to the ranch. Malnourishment and chronic wounds are common findings on arrival. Transferring my nursing knowledge and experience towards equine was an easy choice. The director, Christine Griffin, is an Equine Veterinary Technician and Certified Equine Dentist who works with local veterinarians to care for the herds at the rescue. I gladly assist with whatever medical needs the equine have.
Sadly, many people cannot or choose not to care for their equine when they are too old to compete, or ride like they could when they were younger. Many older equine have chronic health and nutrition problems, along with dental problems that do not allow them to chew properly. Although some problems can be overcome with special diets, and some dental problems can be corrected, many require expensive, soaked diets with supplements and pain/anti-inflammatory medications to keep them going. Equine WellBeing is a kind and gentle final home for many unwanted elder horses and donkeys, where they receive love and medications until their end. The decision on when an equine has suffered long enough is a heart wrenching one for Christine, her group of volunteers, and her Board of Directors to face, but they make the right decision for each individual every time.
I am proud to be a donor, a volunteer, adopter/foster parent for Equine WellBeing Rescue Inc. Please make a donation, however small or large, to help them continue their good work.

Equine Wellbeing Rescue not only takes in and rehabilitates horses and donkeys in need, they provide compassionate hospice care, and through a great network in several states, help people rehome equine they can no longer care for. My husband and I volunteer at the ranch whenever we have time or they have needs, and have adopted 2 horses and a donkey. We can't say enough good about these fine people.

We are so glad you are part of the EqWBR family of adopters, not to mention wonderful friends to us and the rescue. We love you both!!!!
Christine Griffin has the most genuine heart when it comes to horses, mules and donkey's needing human intervention. Even when she knows the odds are not good for a horse, mule or donkey she stays by their side to the end. Many of her rescue efforts has paid off for the equines in getting them help and new homes! Christine's rescue organization is ran straight up in all aspects! Christine also takes the time to help us humans too! God Bless Christine, her rescue organization, horse's, mules and donkeys.
The founder and president of this rescue is incredibly caring, knowledgeable, organized and devoted to improving the lives of the equines under her care. She is patient, "gives them their space" and knows what they need medically and emotionally. Equine Wellbeing is an asset to this region of Arizona and I am proud and honored to be able to help and to see their many "miracles"! (Photos - 2 donkeys playing; next two photos - same sweet gelding in May and August.)
Christine Griffin has a persistent passion for the horses that have been left for dead. She has committed her life to this and has done an amazing job loving and rehabilitating the debilitated and abused. I have witnessed many equine rescues that mean well but cannot deliver. Running a rescue becomes your life 24/7 and can be a heart wrenching journey of loss. Christine has managed to respect these animals and not try to gain unjustly. The animals who have suffered for too long finally find comfort and peace in their end days at Equine Wellbeing. To me that is a bitter sweet sort of beautiful. Thank you Christine.

I have donated my services to a few equine rescues and left them thinking that the horses needed to be rescued from the rescue. I have the utmost confidence in this nonprofit.

We can't truly express how much we appreciate your taking the time to write this review, your support and friendship to us and all the horses and donkeys too. Thank you, thank you so very much!
I met Christine by chance when I adopted a pony from Texas. The owner of this rescue place was supposed to deliver my pony, but ended up sick half way through the trip. Christine from the Equine Well Being Rescue ended up picking up my pony along with a donkey from New Mexico and brought him to us. When we saw the donkey that traveled with our pony we fell in love with her too. So we ended up with a pony (Stubby) and the donkey (Ophelia). Little did we know that 4 months later Ophelia would give birth to Chloe. These donkeys have brought a lot of joy to our lives. So much so we ended up adopting another donkey from Christine. His name is Rusty. I can't say enough about the Equine Well Being Rescue. Christine and her husband are so dedicated to these animals. When ever I have any questions or need help, Christine is always there for me. These horses and donkeys are very lucky when they end up at the Equine Well Being Ranch. They for sure will be taken care of and loved and eventually go to a good home. We are very blessed to have such a place out here.

Thank you for giving all the fur babies such a great home and for your friendship. Ask away anytime you have a question....always.
when my Cushing's horse was in desperate need of updated bloodwork to adjust his life saving medication and my resources were low, Equine Wellbeing contributed so my sweet boy could get relief. they were never judgmental, but very keen in screening. I am so happy they rehab and rehome, unlike so many so called rescues turned hoarders.
Equine Wellbeing is by far the most beautiful property I have seen for rescued animals. The animals are healthy, happy and by their disposition well taken care of.
We had the privilege to adopt our loving donkey Bambi from Equine Wellbeing. The process was a little frightening because I knew nothing about donkeys but, Christine walked me through the process and educated me the whole way. She still takes my calls and emails regarding any questions or concerns I may have regarding Bambi and her well being. I am so glad I found a reputable rescue who truly cares about the animals and the process.
Equine Wellbeing is a warm, loving, dedicated home to all that is lucky enough to get rescued to this place. Christine goes above and beyond to take care of all her rescues. They receive the very best care and most importantly LOVE ❤️. It is always clean and maintained and she can put weight on these critters faster than a speeding bullet!!!!!
Equine Wellbeing Rescue is managed by very special people, the dedication is amazing. All animals that pass through their gates are very lucky to receive the loving care they give. Amazing place I donate funds when I can, I only wish I lived closer so I can donate time as well.

As an equine chiropractor with 19 years of experience, I see lots of animals that need a lot of help. Christine's are among the ones that have needed the most help once she found them. Her work is inspiring and her level of caring is beyond the call. Her operation is truly one of Love and rescue.

We are SO thankful for the TLC you show all our equine when you ease their pains with laser and chiropractor care. Whether you come to the ranch or our foster/adopters homes you have helped so many horses (and dogs) alike. You are a blessing to us all.
I've had a great time volunteering for Equine Wellbeing Rescue. It's rewarding and the people I've met are wonderful. It's added a dimension to my life - that opportunity to give and share, to help. Christine has created a beautiful environment for everyone (whether they are furry or not :-)

Equine WellBeing Rescue Inc. has been a god send to our community. They have done so much good for equine in our area I don't even know where to begin. The number of horses and donkeys that have benefited from Equine WellBeing Rescue Inc. is outstanding. In addition to saving equine they educate the community on equine care and have started an Equine Emergency Feed Fund to help those that need short term help with horse feed. We are indeed fortunate to be blessed with such an exceptional equine rescue organization in our community.

Thank you so much for supporting us and for taking the time to write your wonderful review. You are appreciated very much!
I adopted a horse through EqWBR and couldn't have been more pleased with the entire experience. They thoroughly screen prospective adopters and make the process very easy. Since I adopted from them 4 years ago, several of my friends have done the same. I also value the fact that I have been able to assist them is rescuing other equines in need. These are the things that add meaning and value to our daily round.
We have been sending this charity donations for some years now and have actually even visited their facility in Snowflake. They do a fine job with the animals and the visitors as well. We will continue our donations to this excellent and much needed organization.
Equine Wellbeing Rescue is simply a godsend for horses that have been neglected or abused or just ignored and left to starve. This rescue has come to the aid of so many animals- horses, burros and other pets in need- that they deserve the recognition of the community at large and the appreciation of all animal lovers everywhere. Because they go above and beyond when it comes to helping sick or injured horses I see their need for the donations from people who want to help but cannot be there in person. Donations are the lifeblood of a rescue, making it possible for the rescue to do the work they need to do to save animals. Bless you for all you do, Equine WbR!
I have rehomed a couple of horses through the auspices of EqWr. What I find attractive is that the organization tries to foster out and rehome as many animals as they can, rather than taking them all in house, then asking for much larger donations off feed and materials. They do the most with the least and I find that significant. The horse I adopted is currently sitting at the top of the Featherweight Endurance Standing for the Pacific South region. How is that for a successful rescue!
I have been donating to this wonderful rescue organization for several years now. In that time, the have rescued many horses, donkeys and minis from severe neglect, from slaughter, and from abandonment. Their expert care usually results in the lucky animal's recovery and rehoming with a caring new family. They have helped transport many animals to safe havens. I love them for what they do.

I am a donor, voluteer and foster family for Equine WellBeing! Christine Griffin works nonstop to provide for the animals in her care to ensure that their individual needs are met and that they are happy.

Christine Griffin and her volunteers at Equine Well Being Rescue provide compassionate loving care to horses and donkeys in need. Most are in need of "food", number one, and then vet and farrier care having been rescued from abusive and neglectful homes. Christine has transformed many a skeleton into a horse of beauty. She is an angel to horses in need and provides a great service to the White Mtn. area of AZ. Being a certified vet tech and equine dentist, Christine has the knowledge needed to care for horses in distress and she does so happily. I've been volunteering at Equine Wellbeing for almost 3 years. The horses and donkeys are given individual attention. Their feed and healthcare is tailored to meet their specific needs. You have been a true blessing to us personally and all the equine that enter our barn. You give of yourself to feed and care for them and it shows. They love you, as do we!
After rescuing our precious mare Penelope we turned to Equine Wellbeing for much needed advice and support. Additionally, we continue to financially donate to this exceptional group that honors the majesty of all equine, big and small.
My company donates all we can to Equine Rescue groups and Equine Wellbeing Rescue is one to be emulated. They go the full 100 miles to bring horses in critical condition back to health. From there, these people search high and wide for the perfect home where they can entrust that horse's life and no longer fear that the animal will return to the state they found it in. There are some great rescues. These are in those ranks. Sincerely, Raymond Petterson, Sox For Horses, Inc. I have 2 adopted horses, one of which was adopted from EqWBR. Christine does an amazing job coordinating and networking with other humane organizations/rescues to provide sanctuary or find homes for at-risk equines regularly. She has also provided resources to those in need in the community to try to keep their equines when they have fallen on hard times. Humane care and treatment of these animals is the top priority for EqWBR. Christine puts a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into her rescue efforts and I have not seen her turn anyone away without trying to help in some way.

Equine WellBeing Rescue Inc. has been on my radar for gifting since a friend I know forwarded me an email explaining what this non profit is all about several years ago. She was a horse lover and was looking for friends to help out and pull together to save horses from slaughter. I was intrigued. I like horses, but have never owned one. I have a cat and a guinea pig and live in a home with a backyard that has a pool and concrete deck. Not a blade of grass anywhere. I made a donation and felt good about it. The best part? Equine WellBeing Rescue Inc. put me on their email list and I began to get regular updates on the work they do and just how much they rely on donations, both large and small. I have the utmost respect for Christine and her mission. I love seeing pictures of the horses (and now donkeys!) and hearing her success stories. Every animal saved is a victory and her efforts on re-homing are inspirational. I give when I can and feel so good about it. I wish I could do more. Equine WellBeing Rescue Inc. has my vote as a TOP RATED NONPROFIT that I am thrilled to be associated with.

So glad you can love and enjoy horses and donkeys through EqWBR. We truly appreciate you support and friendship.
This rescue group does so much to help injured, ill, abandoned horses and donkeys in need of care, rehabilitation, and rehoming. They provide excellent shelter, food, medical care, and mental care of these animals in need. They have been great to work with, and let donors know how much their contribution helps. Wonderful, caring organization!

Christine cares. Deeply. I have seen Christine and Lary feed, water, and care for horses during my many visits. They are her babies. She knows them all so well and is so attentive to every behavior or physical change. It's just so inspirational to see them in action. Pure passion and untiring love. Our world is a better place because of Equine Wellbeing.

I don't know any other charity I contribute to as being as well-run, as heartfelt, and eager to go the extra mile than Christine Griffin's Equine WellBeing Rescue Inc. I get emails almost weekly about what horses and/or donkeys she has rescued from the slaughter houses or someone's farm where animals are being ill-kept. The animals she rescues are under a vet's care immediately, and the ones not adopted are sure to live out their days on her farm in Snowflake, AZ. Christine is always building new shelters or quarters for animals at the farm, and her care must be legendary because she attracts so many volunteers to the farm who are willing to help her in this endeavor. I know my donations are well-spent to help these animals.

We have helped them build shelters, fences and corrals to accommodate the horses and donkeys they take in to shelter. It is a tremendous effort on their part and requires a lot of effort and financial support to continue this important effort.

Christine and her group work tirelessly for horses and donkeys so that they can have a better chance for a good life. They run lean and almost all (if not all) of the money goes directly to the rescue and care of the animals.
Not only do I support their work whenever and however I can, but I worked with them to try to arrange a rescue through them for a horse in California. Christine was going to come to Southern California, herself, to get the horse.
I can't say enough good things about their work and their character. We need more people like them in the world.

Thank you, thank you so very much!
I am in the process of applying for a mini rescued jenny. I have worked with dog rescue for over thirty years and these folks ask all the right questions to ensure the horse/donkey will go to the right home that will love and properly care for them. They are honest about what you are getting into so there are no surprise's that would cause you to return the animal. I highly recommend you look at this nonprofit if you are looking to adopt an equine.

Equine WellBeing Rescue 04/04/2016
The donkeys are coming very, very soon. Glad you like how we do things it means a lot from someone else in the rescue world.
These are hard-working people who devote all their time and effort to caring for, and finding good homes for animals that desperately need it. Their love for these animals knows no bounds. We enjoy going to the ranch and helping with maintenance issues and also giving love and attention to the animals to help them get socialized. These people are more than devoted to the animals, they are committed.

The door is always open and your help is appreciated more than you know. Thank you, thank you so very much!!!!
I've had the pleasure of visiting the Equine Wellbeing Resue site a couple times and was quite impressed with the conditions/cleanliness of the animals, barn and entire site. The caretakers spend hours upon hours making sure the horses and donkeys get the best care possible, including visits from area vets when needed. I am happy to donate to this rescue and I know my dollars are being used for the well being of the animals.

You have such a huge heart and support us in so many ways. We APPRECIATE you very, very much. Love and hugs from Snowflake!
I discovered Equine Well Being because I wanted to make a special donation in memory of a friend who loved horses and supported animal sanctuaries. So I contacted Christine Griffin and asked if I could visit when I was in her town.
It was a most happy visit - Christine was very cordial and informative. The horses and donkeys are beautifully taken care of and well loved. I could tell they appreciated being alive and with Christine.
I gave Christine the check in memory of my young friend. Christine took the time to find the obituary and write some meaningful words about my friend on her Facebook site. This meant a lot to my friend's husband and to me.
So, you can see that this non profit does good works that go beyond the equines that the group rescues.

Equine WellBeing Rescue 04/04/2016
I was so touched by your visit and then reading your friends story brought tears to my eyes. I hope you will be back to visit one of these days....soon.
The love, care, attention and compassion that EquineWell Being and it's founders provide for our horses and donkeys in need and in dangerous situations is admirable. I have known them for many years and have all my respect. Their integrity is without question.

I met Christine a few years ago when she was taking in horses from a feed lot. Christine worked so hard to save as many horses as possible. On a visit to her rescue there was a young foal she named Diesel, who recently arrived from the feedlot who was extremely weak and thin. He was laying down and so close to death that she did not think she could get him up. It took several minutes and sheer determination on her part to get him up and then get a vet out asap to fight for his life. He is now thriving in a wonderful home just like so many horses that Christine has saved. I have never met someone so passionate and dedicated to saving, rehabbing and finding wonderful homes for so many horses that had a bad start in life. She is one in a million!

I know Christine (the founder) personally and have visited the rescue both when they were in CA, and now since they've moved to AZ. She takes wonderful care of the horses she takes in and truly makes a difference in each horse's life. I have seen her care and fight for horses that were on the brink of death due to someone else's neglect/abuse and she has not only brought them back to health, but they are thriving now!
We have only known Equine Wellbeing Rescue for a year, but have been overwhelmed by their true committment and love they pour out upon the horses. The rescue is fiscally responsible and well focused. They are fully aware of the task before them. Many horses are abandoned, or at risk. Caring for animals is a responsibility, and sometimes circumstances change, and owners are unable to continue. It is a blessing to have Christine and Lary involved in the care and foster of the many horses from all backgrounds. They treat the owners with dignity when due, and bring to light those who do wrong. The abandoned, the lost, the hurt and weak (and sometimes healthy, but the owner surrender) , are all welcome and cared for by EqWB. We look forward to partnering with you many years. The Lasiters

I called Equine Wellbeing Rescue and spoke to Christine a few weeks after my beloved horse passed away in hopes of finding a new companion. She sincerely listened to my stories of my horse. I shared the environment my new horse would live in, the ages of my daughters, and personality of our family, Christine was very supportive and asked questions that were informative and relevant. We have been perfectly matched now with Angel, who has been with us just one month, but it has been a match made in heaven. The wisdom and insight that went into finding the perfect horse for our family and coordinating with us transportation and adjustment was a true gift. I highly recommend Equine Wellbeing to anyone searching for your new soulmate.

Alexis it was my pleasure to help you and your family. The loss of a beloved animal is so hard and they can never be replace, but a new love can help heal some of the loneliness yet never replace happy memories, rather just add many more. I am so excited to see your pictures and hear you stories. You have the Queen of all Queens in your backyard and she will soak up EVERY minute of your love and attention. Thank you for contacting us and giving us the opportunity to help!

It's all about the horses, always, and keeping that focus is crucial to horse rescue; Christine Griffin with Equine Wellbeing Rescue Inc. never loses focus. Our paths may have crossed by chance, but we continue to work together by choice and out of mutual respect and trust. From one rescue to another, it's with pleasure and gratitude for the work EqWBR does on behalf of horses in need, to offer both a personal and professional reference.

Christine Griffin, Founder & President of Equine WellBeing Rescue Inc. is amazingly dedicated to helping horses in need. Mid-September 2014, she skillfully coordinated the rescue of an emaciated, mistreated colt who was being ridden by children at the tender age of 1-year old. Christine goes above and beyond to rehabilitate her angels and ensure that they get a qualified and loving home.

I am always thrilled when I can comfortably extend a 5 star rating to a horse rescue. With 35yrs. experience with raising, training, advocacy and rescue of our beloved equines I am pleased to write my sincere admiration and respect for EWR. Professionalism and "well being " describe the way Christine runs and operates her very much needed horse rescue. I had the pleasure of speaking with her personally during a very high profile rescue of the Dann sisters baby herd in January 2015. I was impressed by her patience, level head during crisis and ultimately stepping in without overextending her rescues abilities. I was impressed with her honesty and integrity during those stressful days. I am great full that Equine WellBeing Rescue came forward and saved horses, that were not even in her home state. I received thoughtful, professional written correspondence from her personally and I believe the horse world is a better place with her organization saving / rescuing horses in need. Sincerely,

Equine well being not only has saved many horses, they also take tremendous care of their rescues. On top of all that, they also help rehome horses that need a forever new home. That's where my story starts. They were helping a young lady leaving for college to rehome her senior horse. Equine well being had shared pics and info on their Facebook page. When I inquired about the mare she called me personally and helped facilitate contact between the owner and I. Not only that she has followed up several times to see how things are going. Equine well being goes above and beyond in every way!

Equine Wellbeing Rescue Inc., goes above and beyond to help horses in need. Christine and her husband Lary are very wonderful and compassionate people who put the well being of the horses as a top priority. Anytime there is a need, they drop what they are doing to come help. Over the last couple of years I have seen the horses in their care go from skin and bones, some with feet, leg, and other health problems, grow into beautiful horses. I can't say enough about Christine, Larry and the family at Equine Well Being. Not once have I ever heard a complaint about how far they needed to drive or what expense they needed to go to to get a horse out of a terrible situation...no matter what. She is up at the crack of dawn and doesn't rest until her herd is fed and well taken care of . And then is there for complete strangers who may need her help or call on her to help an animal in need. Christine is on my Pinterest page as a person that I admire....and I can't say that enough about her. She also supports SO many other rescues of all animals and is a kind, gentle, smart and soulful woman. I am proud to be a supporter of EWB and will do so as long as I am able.

I met Christine when I brought her apples and carrots we could not use at our rehab center, I got to meet some of her beautiful horses that she saved and saw the first hand the wonderful work she does to help these animals get through the abuse and trauma they had suffered. She puts her heart and soul into everything she does. Saving horses from kill auctions or abusive situations and nursing them back to health either herself or through the network of other rescues she works with. She always finds a way to find a place for just one more horse that needs help everytime a post goes out for help.. without her and the other organizations out there these beautiful animals would not have a second chance at a better life!
I have had the privilege of joining the team at EquineWell Being Rescue as a volunteer. I can honestly say that the facility is clean and well maintained. The horses are all taken care of with compassion and love. I have met with the Veterinarians during wellness checks, dental procedures and emergency visits. The level of care is amazing in all situations. The Farrier has been there on a regular schedule for maintenance care and for a special case involving a lame mare who needed corrective shoes and padding to ease her pain from laminitis. Each horse has been assessed for dietary needs and supplements and are fed according to their needs. Many of the horses are there due to medical needs or age related issues. I personally feel that the care provided for the horses there is what "Rescue" is all about.

Christine gives 100% of herself to this rescue. The animals always come first! She has literally saved countless lives of horses that came to her neglected, abused, and/or headed to slaughter. After some time spent at this rescue, the horses fatten up and feel loved, many for the first time in their life. This is one of my all time favorite rescues and i will be a donor for life.

Sending you a huge hug!!!
Christine and Lary have done an amazing job of taking in a variety of horses and most of all getting them placed in quality forever homes. The horses are cared for, receive medical care if needed, training and evaluation of temperament and then placed with loving families and have a great life. The ones that are older and need extra help get that special care by Christine and Lary and are loved until they go over the rainbow bridge. Even then she is there with them.

Equine Wellbeing Rescue Inc. is doing am incredible job of helping horses, young & old, that are suffering through the fault of their human caretakers. Often these horses are just thrown away because they have out-lived their usefulness in some way. They bring love & dignity to quite a few older horses that are considered un-adoptable & have found loving forever homes for others.

I met Christine online as she was trying to get donations for someone who was critically injured falling off her horse. It has been a big pleasure in my life to get to know her through her rescue site. Not only does she devote her life to saving horses and giving them the best life possible, but she cares about people too. There aren't many people like her who have such a loving and generous nature, she is a true blessing to the world.
This rescue volunteered their time and resources to help me get a mare foal pair moved to my place from a long distance away. They have been there with anything I need, questions I have, etc. They are awesome and have helped many horses find their new homes.

Thank you Nancy, for all of you support through the years.
Without organizations such as yours, the horses would be on their own. I have seen some of the great work you guys have done to help our equine victims, so thank you. Being a rescue is so difficult, seeing success stories, but also seeing the other side. It takes a strong person to continue to go forth and conquer. Thank you to Christine and all who help. I for one, very much appreciate.

Very great organization! I rescued an orphan filly through them and they went above and beyond to get her from Nevada, to SoCal. So extremely pleased and blessed to have had them, and get me my now beautiful 2yr old. Without them, I wouldn't have had this learning experience, and my filly wouldn't have had a chance.
I have been following EWR for over a year, along with several other organizations that rescue. I mainly want to bring to lite her un-failing compassion in what she does and loves. She has real heart and follows through on what she sets out to do. If she is un-able to take a horse at that moment for any situation , she networks and gets the job done. It takes a real ego-less person to utilize their entire circle of friends and acquaintances to get a horse to safety, no matter what. Just one of the many reasons I love this rescue
Such a wonderful organization that gives so much to the community and surrounding counties by going out its way to fix what horrendous things that humans do to their horses. Christine seems to never tire and appears to never say no. She always finds a way to save that "one last horse" that needs her so desperately. The personal expense and loss of time with her family must be great, but she doesn't complain and is always so generous with her devotion to giving those voiceless creatures the opportunity to feel compassion, love and what it is like to not be starved and abused. God Bless her! Not many people can do what she and her volunteers do, but many of us wish we could. Support this organization because she really understands how to fix the wrongs of humans and find the right people to love these horses.
I met Christine Griffin of Equine Wellbeing Rescue a few months ago when a friend of mine was trying to save some abused horses and wasn't really sure how to go about it....legally. Christine was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with the entire process. She is very highly respected in the rescue business and as a business woman. Christine follows the plight of each horse she rescues and genuinely cares. Our world needs more people like Christine!!
I strive to save horses like this organization does. Its incredible the time and effort they put into rehabilitating these horses and give them god, lifelong homes :) Keep it up!

I have known Christine Griffin of Equine Wellbeing Rescue Inc. for over 6 years and have always been impressed by her compassion, knowledge and professionalism. Her love of animals, particularly equines, and her heartfelt and lifelong compassion to care for them has developed into a wonderful organization which helps to rescue "the least of them" - the horses that no one wants, leaves behind when the economy forces foreclosures, etc, and those that have been horribly abused. Over the years I have watched her non profit organization develop and grow, and even though she has now moved to AZ, she continues to actively network across many States to help rescue, feed, transport and rehabilitate horses in need of rescue.
God bless Christine and Equine Wellbeing Rescue Inc.
We adopted two babies via Equine Wellbeing Rescue about 2 years ago. Christine and her team went above and beyond to make sure we were the right placement for these babies, that we had all the knowledge and support we needed to make this happen and she still supports us today. This is a phenomenal service organization and I recommend them very highly.
Christine has come to the rescue twice for me in the year I have known her by rescuing two horses who were going to be euthanized by the Riverside Animal Control. Both times she nursed these horses back to health from being near death. She puts her heart into every horse she takes in. Christine was referred to me by close friends who have worked with her for many years. She is definitely one of God's angels. I have made donations to her in the past and will continue to do so in the future.
