EAP is a dedicated advocate for horses and I've seen them work miracles time after time. I have been a frequent donor to EAP. EAP's founder is ethical and trustworthy and she does wonderful things for horses. If you care about helping horses and want to help, EAP is completely deserving of your support!

I have worked with Equine Assistance Project for the past four years. I have taken in and fostered 14 Horses for this rescue. As a group we have tamed, halter broke and sent Horses to responsible trainers. We work very very hard to find the perfect home for each horse since they have already gone thru evough in their lives they deserve a great owner this time around.
I sure hope that you feel the same way I do and that this rescue deserves to be honored for what it does for all the horses. Our rescue has saved a total of over 42 Horses. At the moment we have 15 Horses on our to farms and 9 Horse at foster homes currently being trained and used in youth programs.

A huge Thank You to EAP for saving a mare with a filly by her side from a Texas lot one year ago. I was able to adopt Palo and her baby "Chenoya", and bring them home to Oklahoma. EAP is easy to work with, has fantastic programs, and does whatever is necessary and in the best interest of the horses. I love you guys and appreciate all of your hard work.

Research your rescue before joining. We did not :(

That is a bit cryptic. If there is an issue with something we are more than happy to answer. Anonymous and no basis. Feel free to email us with any problem or "research" you need to do prior to "joining" info@equineassist.org

EAP helped pull a barely 3 year old gelding out of a feed lot in western PA. Poor guy had only been in bad hands for a month but was already underweight, lost his top line, and had a bad case of sipping fever. I took him in and 9 months later he is flourishing. That's so much for helping me give this guy another chance!!

Thank you so much for taking such great care of Gus!! You have done such a wonderful job getting him back in shape! He is a cautionary tale for everyone! Even with the best intentions, these horses can end up in bad situations! Thankfully he was able to find a great home with you!!

We recently transported 2 horses from TX to EAP in California. I was impressed with how easy they were to work with. Equine Assistance Project's founder actually "personally herself" paid for a hotel for us that night so we didn't have to be out on the road all night long. When I arrived with the 2 horses they were there waiting and thrilled to receive their horses. Their facilities were very nice and clean and I saw nothing but happy and healthy horses! I am hoping I will have the opportunity to work with EAP again in the future.

Equine Assistance Project is all about people helping horses. They are a good bunch of folks and strive to put the horses first in what they do. They have saved many, many horses from bad situations and kept them out of the horse slaughter end game. Kudos to the volunteers and team!

Beware! Very evident from the outside reading their post that this group is full of drama. There is much better rescues to donate to.

Unfortunately, there has been some recent turmoil (or what some might label "drama") due to a large save and a foster home who did not and still is not caring for the horses properly, including not feeding them enough food, quality food and who also refuses to communicate with EAP, an adopter who has broken contract and has blocked EAP and refuses to communicate with EAP. EAP is still very interested in working this situation out for the welfare oft these horses as EAP is very concerned about their health and body condition. As with any rescue, sadly, there will always be issues that arise, but we are dedicated to the safety of these horses and will continue to do what we can to ensure that safety.

I was trying to help find an aged stallion a safe home before he ended up at auction. Kathy at Equine assistance project stepped up and worked really hard with little time to not only find a great safe home but raised the money in a record time. She is passionate about helping and saving at risk equine.
