ECOM Foundation has contributed greatly to helping youth in Uganda become successful leaders and entrepreneurs who will lift themselves and their community out of poverty. They have been a great collaborative, understanding partner who really cares about positive impact. We have truly appreciated their ability to be open and understanding of real challenges and they have contributed greatly to our ambitious goals by providing key advice based off of their experience operating in many countries. Educate!'s partnership with ECOM Foundation has been hugely beneficial.
The ECOM Foundation has made a positive impact in the lives of farmers and their children in underprivileged countries. The schools that they have opened have helped children get much needed education and skills to have better lives. They have also opened health centers to help women get cancer screening in Mexico.
ECOM Foundation has ensured access to elementary school education through scholarships for children from the Chacaya community, an under-served coffee growing community in the highlands of Guatemala. This is just a small example of ECOM's great work!"
ECOM Foundation is providing much needed access to education and services in under-served coffee communities around the world. Through their support of primary school scholarships, they are reinforcing the importance of investing in education for coffee farming families and providing the first step towards sustainability. Investments like a scholarship for a child or community learning centers – will result in a long term a more productive, more economically active member of society who contributes more. This is a fundamental building block for the coffee supply chain.
The Ecom Foundation has made a positive impact on the communities it has been involved with. In Papua New Guinea the Ecom Foundation helped school children gain the necessary agricultural education and skills to become more productive farmers and through this to lift themselves and their families out of poverty. In Nigeria the Ecom Foundation has helped to educate school children about personal growth, individual rights and responsibilities and the importance and benefit of planning, budgeting and saving. The Ecom Foundation has been a positive change agent to break the cycle of poverty in these countries.
For many years we have watched ECOM as they built schools in countries like India and El Salvador to help farmers and their children become sustainable. It has been a pleasure to watch the success they have achieved. Dedicated individuals at Ecom such as Sharon Komorn, Carol Salaiz and Megan Hoffman have worked hard to orchestrate the caliber of program ECOM now boasts of.
Ecom Foundation has helped to become reality hight quality education in rural areas by facilitating the establishment of community learning centers (CCA) where people since child to old people can get trained in best agricultural practices or get a bachelor or even a PHD. It brings lot of opportunities of development fo the comunity by procuring the entrepeneur spirit and eeducationon important subjets like health, agricultural, conservation of natural, resources between all the community and aside places.
The ECOM Foundation has been integral in the redevelopment of rural agricultural areas many which have been subject to various blights such as coffee leaf rust and cocoa pod borer. Its efforts focus primarily on social development in communities that are in need of international donor support. The Foundation's scope of work is impressive from state of the art satellite schools to cervical cancer screen clinics in multiple countries. It has truly been a pleasure keeping up with all the great things the ECOM Foundation has accomplished.
ECOM Group Sustainability
I have had the privilege of touring the Satellite School in El Salvador as well as the Daisy School in Bangalore, India. These programs have made a profound impact on the lifes of the children they serve, from an education, to a safe place to be during the day, to a warm meal. The Ecom Foundation provides opportunities for people from all over the world to empower themselves and help improve the daily lifes of the children, their families, and their communities.
From my perspective, the Satellite Schools project can impact now in the future of many countries like El Salvador by adding value to the traditional process of teaching. It infuses it with technology and a proper way of using these tools, changing not only the way children learn, but also their future.
