My grandchildren started out at the Easter Seals Child Development Center - Mansell location and I became involved ever since. I have watched not only my grandchildren grow and exceed and be School Ready when they started Kindergarten, I also watched 100's of others grow and exceed over the years. This program helps in so many different ways and the benefits that the Parents receive that their children are being groomed to become achievers and succeed in life is amazing. If ever a Non-Profit deserved to be recognized, this is it.

Our son Philip is almost 3 years old, and he has Down Syndrome. We enrolled Philip in Babies Can't Wait when we moved to the Lilburn area in 2010, and then we changed to the Lawrenceville office in July, 2011. Philip is making fantastic progress because of the tremendous support provided by BCW, and we think Deborah Leafe has done a great job guiding us and ensuring that Philip receives the physical and speech therapy he needs. Philip loves both Bill, his physical therapist, and Christina, his speech therapist. Philip is starting to walk and talk, and we attribute his rapid development to the skills and ability of his therapists. Deborah is also providing excellent support as we prepare to transition out of BCW when Philip turns 3 next year. We cannot say enough good things about the staff who make Babies Can't Wait such a great program!

We had a wonderful experience with Easter Seals in the Babies Can't Wait program. Our son was diagnosed with PDD/Autism at two and a half years old. We received PLAY Therapy through Easter Seals/BCW and it has made a world of difference in our son. Our therapist was very experienced in Floortime techniques. She modeled them for us and made sure that we knew how to implement them on our own. She also maintained regular communications with us, sending us valuable training materials and feedback. We would recommend the Easter Seals/BCW program to anyone!

Hello my name is Melissa. I first received services from BCW almost 9 years ago with my son who was later diagnosed with Autism. He received Speech, OT, & Floor Time. I recently (about 7 months ago), had to seek out help for my daughter; she received Speech & PT. She was diagnosed with Sandifer Syndrome, (means she has Hyptonia + reflux).

I know that in both of my cases that I needed help and I was so happy to know that I had some place to go like BCW and receive these services. I also know that we would not be where we are today without early intervention. My children will continue to grow and thrive into the awesome adults they were meant to be due to BCW.

Without these services available to families that need them would be tragic. it would be tragic not only for the children who need this, but for the Moms & Dads who have no place to go. I have had wonderful people (Deborah, Christina, & Jessica, just to name a few...) come into my home and be a part of my children's lives and I will forever be thankful for their dedication and support.

My son Amiir receives "special instruction" though BCW program. He started off with just OT & ST services somewhere else. BCW has not only been an inspiration to my son, the results of the dynamic program is proven to show in the progress my son has made and is currently making. Recently he was diagnosed with Autism by a Developmental Pediatrician and one of BCW advocates, Deborah Leafe accompanied me to the evaluation just simply for support. Deborah has been so helpful to my family, it brings me to tears how she would go out of her way even if its for just 15 minutes to hold my hand through an evaluation! BCW from the start has been caring, knowledgeable/informative and interested in what is "best" for my son and many other children. I cant be more greatful for all that they do for my son and truly its also therapy and intervention for me as well. This is not an easy journey and there are so many things to learn and adjust to with the everyday changes my son experiences. I can say I love BCW and their staff of advocates. They rescued my baby and gave him another chance at life. When no one was willing to listen or believe they did. With their support my son is finally receiving the help that he so desperately needs. They even find other resources that can benefit you and your family. BCW thank you from the bottom of my heart

My son Kendall has received physical therapy for 6 months through the Babies Can't Wait Program for delayed gross and fine motor skills. He has now graduated from the program and he is continuing to develop in all areas wonderfully. He was delayed in skills such as crawling and therefore could not progress to walking as expected. Now he is walking well all over the house exploring and getting into everything. He had a great physical therapist and the coordinator of the program was such a pleasure to work with. I really appreciate the program and everyone that contributes. Kendall is growing and developing with something new everyday. Thank you Babies Can't Wait!

I am so honored to be a part of this of organization. They are doing so much to help children with disabilities. They offer opportunities where some may think there are none. The love and support they receive now and in the past shows how much they are appreciated.

By his 2nd birthday in July 2010, our son Seth was noticibly delayed in his speech and play habits. We contacted Babies Can't Wait and speech therapy was started. In January of 2011, Seth was diagnosed with Autism, unspecified disorders of the nervous system. Seth was enrolled in the Easter Seals PLAY Project and Jan-Marie Popovich was assigned as Seth's Floortime Player. With Jan's direct interaction with Seth, and her guidance in our own Floortime habits, Seth has made enormous progress in 6 months. He is very engaged and developing speech and creative play habits. Jan's work has been excellent, and her personal concern for Seth is obvious and appreciated. Without Floortime, we don't believe that Seth would have developed to the point that he has.
