Mission:
Dispute Settlement Center, (DSC) founded in 1978, grew out of a vision of a better way (than violence or use of the courts) for citizens to handle interpersonal disputes. DSC mediators,including highly trained volunteers,assist disputants in finding mutually agreeable solutions to a variety of conflicts. We also offer trainings and services in conflict resolution, mediation, diversity, and public disputes facilitation (including how to have effective meetings) to individuals, businesses, and community groups. Our Youth Programs provide trainings and conflict interventions for young people (and the adults who support them), in addition to victim-offender mediation for court-involved youth and RESOLVE, a conflict resolution series for court-involved youth and their parents.
