Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services provide an array of incredible services in the Southern California area.
One of the biggest service they provide is their work in Suicide Prevention and bereavement groups. They run an amazing crisis hot line that is available to many people when they are contemplating suicide or when they're in a dark place. If someone has lost a fellow employee, friend or family member to suicide they are connected with other people that have struggled with the same loss. Without their services there would be a huge void in our community.

Not only does DHMHS provide a continuum of services in the mental health and behavioral health area for children and adults, its suicide crisis line is available 24/7 in multiple languages and in text. In addition to services that other agencies provide, DHMHS provides unique services in serveral areas such as short term interim housing for mentally ill and dual diagnosed persons and a year long living facility for women with mental illness problems where they get treatment, job training and where their children (if below school age) can live with them.

Didi Hirsch is one of the finest nonprofit agencies in Southern California. I served on the board of directors of the United Way of Greater Los Angeles for nine years and we always rated Didi Hirsch at the top of our list and, as a result, we allocated United Way funds to Didi Hirsch at the highest levels. After leaving United Way's board I joined Didi Hirsch's board and have served for thirteen years. They are making a huge difference in the lives of hundreds of thousands people.

Didi Hirsch has wonderful staff that work hard to help those throughout the community. The programs are stellar and have saved hundreds of lives, including my own. It's very fortunate to have a place like this to come to whenever we need support or even someone to talk too.

5 stars for Didi Hirsch!
