CulturalDC is an important arts, culture, and humanities institution in greater Washington, DC metropolitan area. Its programs in the experimental visual arts is amongst the more highly regarded in the area with emerging and mid-career artists getting great memtorship at CuluralDC's Flashpoint Gallery. The theater program is also excellent with its Mead Theater Lab delivering innovative readings and plays that have really pushed the envelope of experimental theater. The Source Theater Festival is a hallmark of the DC Theater scene and is a place for new theater not elsewhere experienced in the District. A number of award winning playwrights have been launched through the Source Festival.
Making space for artists and arts organizations is a feature of CulturalDC and a number of arts and culture organizations across the spectrum of dance, theater and the humanities organizations are "incubated" at CulturalDC.
There is evidence of great organizational and board leadership at the organization. Well worth your attention.
