The cumberland county vorp/community mediation center, inc. (vorp) is a community corrections alternative for dealing with non-violent criminal offenders. It is a volunteer oriented, low-cost alternative to incarceration and offers the victims of crime an opportunity to be heard and to participate directly in the decisions regarding restitution. The program also offers an opportunity for victims and offenders to reconcile their differences in face-to-face meetings.
