Reviews for Christian Latino Association Of Music And The Arts Inc

Rating: 5 stars

The Christian Latino Association of Music & Arts (CLAMA) and RYTMO (Reaching Youth Through Music Opportunities) have experience a steady growth since we started in 2003. Despite the many fiscal challenges that most non-profits are facing today, we continue to see the community and especially teens in our community in need of programs that can connect and relate to the needs of this generation. Since 2003, we have serviced and successfully graduated over 500 youth from RYTMO. In 2009, CLAMA was awarded the Non Profit of the Year for the City of Anaheim, and in 2010 formed a formal partnership with the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. Students now have access to online classes through RYTMO!. Looking ahead, we have plans to expand our facility and programs to include video/multimedia production, video gaming, live sound, and launch Voice & Sound, a unique program created to reach young women ages 14 through 24 years utilizing songwriting and singing in building a healthy self-esteem.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Over 500 teens have successfully graduated from RYTMO, others have gone on to higher education, found employment related to the entertainment industry, and helped youth live productive and creative lifestyles leading to success.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Stress the importance of supporting our generation of young people today among adults. Many teens are seeking ways to express their creativity, yet many adults feel they are immature or unable to understand the importance and value of promoting and encouraging the Music & Arts in schools across the country. Let's all support them!

CLAMA is a non profit organization that has already helped over 350 youth who are at-risk or adjudicated. Project RYTMO (Reaching Youth Through Music Opportunities) is one of the programs under CLAMA that utilizes music, technology and the arts to help foster, homeless and troubled youth in the Orange County area. If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Get more music professionals to volunteer and donate to Project RYTMO!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Working with homeless, foster and troubled teens who demonstrate artistic potential.Seeing how youth can change into productive citizens when given positive outlets and inspiration!-

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Highly professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Expand it's programs to other cities around the U.S, and help more youth who are in need. I would purchase more computers and instruments so that youth could have access to them. Finally, I would use the funds to support youth and their families in need

Ways to make it better...

None-I have the greatest honor of helping and developing this organization!

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Fundraising-private donors and sponsors

One thing I'd also say is that...

CLAMA/Project RYTMO is using music and the arts to reach teens that would NEVER have an opportunity to learn music technology and find jobs, internships and become entrepreneurs in the music industry.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
