Target demographics: Services are open to all families in middle TN, but fees are targeted to allow participation by lower & middle income families.
Direct beneficiaries per year: We serve approximately 125 singers and their families per year via CAL programs. Our direct services' goal is 150 singers & their families per year.
Someone who had 3 hours of volunteer time could: 1. Volunteers to assist with registration for fall, winter and/or summer registration stations.
2. Sort music for restocking in choral library
3. Set up music library database
Geographic areas served: Nashville and Middle Tennessee
Mission:
Choral Arts Link's mission is to preserve a tradition and discipline of choral development by providing children the opportunity to develop leadership skills, to enhance their education, and to grow artistically and professionally.
Results:
Our matriculation of singers remaining with MET from entry through high school is increasing. MET alumni response to invitations to return and mentor during rehearsals/special performances is increasing . A freshman - MET alumna- will intern with us through her university's service learning . Singers interested in vocal competition participation is growing and their successes are commendable. MET Singers will celebrate its 15th performance with Nashville Symphony during its annual Let Freedom Sing concert, January 15, 2012.
