Geographic areas served: metropolitan Atlanta, central, and north Georgia

Programs: Family Stabilization Program, Clinical Services, Immigration Legal Services, Refugee Resettlement Services, Pregnancy, Parenting & Post-Adoption Program, and Disaster Preparedness and Response.

Mission:
Catholic Charities, a ministry rooted in the Gospel, partners with our community to move people facing adversity to wholeness and self-sufficiency.
Results:
In FY 2013:
94% of Refugee Resettlement Clients were Self-Sufficient within 180 days of arrival in the U.S.
95% of clients who received foreclosure intervention maintained their housing for at least 6 months after starting services.
100% of mothers in the Pregnancy Support program actively prepared for their child by making a parenting, kinship or adoption plan.

I have been an intern at Catholic Charities Atlanta (CCA) for 7 months. It is the absolute best position that I have ever had and I am very thankful that I am able to be a part of such a wonderful organization. After personal devastation and financial disaster Catholic charities donated $100 to help pay my power bill. They never even asked my name or religious affiliation. They paid the power company account directly! i can personally attest to the validity & reality of help/hope offered by CC. They ... more »
