abandoned children live healthy and happy lives.
Direct beneficiaries per year:
102 special children come home to loving families and thousands more by providing food, clean water, shelter, clothing and an education
Geographic areas served:
Viet Nam, Ethiopia, Kenya and around the world
Brittany's Hope Foundation recognizes that for every child who finds a loving family, there are many more who are left behind. Brittany's Hope works to improve the quality of life for those children. We build and repair orphanages and living centers worldwide. We develop and implement nutrition programs to deliver protein-rich food to undernourished children. We provide livestock and crop plantings to initiate far-reaching self-sustainable efforts within impoverished orphanages. Our Brittany's Cribs project provides cribs for children who spend their days in broken cribs without mattresses or blankets. The Emily Cane Project gives canes, mobility instruction, and independence to the blind. By providing an education, through college or vocational school, we break the cycle of poverty and empower young adults to take control of their own future. Our work is possible because of generous personal and corporate donations.

Reviews for Brittany's Hope Foundation
With the help of a grant from Brittany's Hope, we were able to bring home our precious son Malachi from China. Malachi has Down Syndrome and is such a gift to our family. He joins his 9 siblings. Brittany's Hope was a pleasure to work with. Their procedure to apply for a grant and to receive a grant was very clear and not rigorous. The capability to do much of the required paperwork etc online was great. Any questions that j had were quickly answered via phone or email. They were a pleasure to work with.
Brittany's Hope helped us with our adoption expenses. Two weeks ago (after a 2+ year process), we finally brought Li-eun home from South Korea. She has a rare medical condition, which she received excellent care for in South Korea, and had been on a Waiting Child list with our agency. After we were matched in April 2014, we waited until September 2015 to bring her home (South Korea has a very long court process). We went into our adoption process with a certain amount saved up, but the total costs were about what the two of us earned in a year (when I was working part-time; we're now both full time). Because we are a young family, and had spent our early, post-college and married years working and volunteering with a non-profit Hurricane Katrina Relief organization, we did not have the total amount saved up. Brittany's Hope provided us with a matching grant that completely covered the costs of our second (custody) trip. Their generosity was only matched by their professionalism; throughout this process, we have interacted with many individuals and entities, and I can truly say that our interactions with Brittany's Hope were among the most helpful, courteous, and encouraging.
Brittany's Hope was very instrumental is helping us bring our 3 boys home from Ethiopia. We had answered the call to adopt 3 more children 2 1/2 years after bringing home a brother and sister sibling group in 2011. Many family and friends wanted to help and by using the matching grant through Brittany's Hope we were able to raise a substantial amount to help us with the final costs of adoption. Although there have been many up and downs these past 9 months since the boys have come home, we can definitely see the Lord's hand in helping all of us to adjust and attach to one another. A heartfelt thank you to Brittany's Hope for making this adoption possible!
What a great organization! Such friendly and helpful employees. You can really see their passion working towards this cause!
Our adoption agency did the vetting and felt, because of our daughter's special need that would require ongoing life long care, we qualified for a $10,000 grant from Brittany's Hope. But our travel to China was impending. We had from July 1, when the grant cycle began, to July 9th, when we flew to China, to complete the required paperwork/contract and raise the required $5,000 for Brittany's Hope...all from a vacation in rural North Carolina where accessing the internet and a notary was difficult. However, the staff at Brittany's Hope was more than patient and flexible. They helped us complete required paperwork as quickly as possible so we could focus on reaching out to friends and family who'd pledged to support us. We were able to raise the funds for Brittany's Hope before we left for China. Once home, a real, honest to goodness check for $10,000 arrived in the mail from our adoption agency. We are amazed and beyond grateful for the financial support, which relieves some of the financial stress of traveling abroad and now preparing for surgery and deductibles. Thank you, Brittany's Hope, for helping make our adoption possible.
Our family is so grateful for the opportunity to work with Brittany's Hope Foundation! Without the help from their grant and fundraising our adoption would not have been possible. We started our 2nd adoption after falling in love with a sweet little girl in China with down syndrome who had been abandoned at birth. We had already spent all our savings and everything we had on our first adoption 2 years ago but we knew this little girl was meant to be part of our family. We took a leap of faith and started the process of adoption to bring her home. Brittany’s Hope was so helpful and encouraging every step of the way. She has now been home for 4 months and it has been wonderful watching her learn, grow and achieve new things in such a short amount of time. Thank you for EVERYTHING!
Brittany's Hope Foundation has been a huge blessing for me and my newly adopted son, providing financial support for the adoption of my son. I am so grateful to Brittany's Hope because it gave me a special way for my friends & family to get involved personally in the adoption. They feel a special connection to him through donating towards the expenses of the adoption. Thank you for this gift at a time when we needed it the most!
We really appreciate the love and assistance Brittany's Hope gave our family in helping with the financial cost of bringing our son home from China this summer (2015)! Without the assistance of their grant program, we would have been lost in coming up with the money to complete his adoption. Our son came to us at 17 1/2 months old, unable to sit up on his own. Now, 3 weeks later, he is sitting, starting to crawl, attempting to stand and loving all the cuddles he's receiving in his forever family! Thank you Brittany's Hope!
Adopting is expensive! And we are so grateful for Brittany's Hope for coming alongside us as we made this huge investment to adopt three sisters from Bulgaria. Our girls were placed in an orphanage when they were 2, 4, and 6 years old. When they were 6, 8, & 10, they were placed in two separate foster homes for almost 2 years before we were able to adopt them. While we had tried to save for our adoption, our expenses were far greater than we had anticipated. Our grant from Brittany's Hope gave us a huge boost! It has been a big relief that we did not have to take out loans or have credit card debt as a result of our adoption. This leaves us less stressed and more able to love and nurture the girls instead of worrying about money.

I'm a single mother with two adopted daughters from China. In 2014, I felt inspired to adopt again but was a full-time graduate student at the time. The financial obligation was the only hurdle to adopting a lovely 9 year old boy who captured my heart with his smile and self-confident expression. The costs of an international adoption can be over $20,000! I committed to the adoption and I submitted an application to Brittany's Hope at the same time. Within weeks, I learned of being accepted into the Seedling Grant program, which gave me confidence and trust that, over the next year, I would be able to fundraise all needed funds. Receiving that first promise of support made a tremendous difference to my outlook on the huge task ahead. I applied for every adoption grant I was eligible for, and did receive some of them, but that first show of support was the most important because it carried me through the rest of the year. I also felt good sharing the story of BH and hopefully expanding the BH family of supporters. Thank you for all you do.
