Rating: 5 stars   2 reviews

Issues: Education, Philanthropy

Location: 1321 Airport Road, Unit 110 Apopka FL 32712 USA

Mission: The Chamberlain Foundation was organized to receive, maintain and administer funding - including goods and services, time and professional business expertise - for individuals, groups, institutions and organizations that, in the judgment of the Chamberlain Foundation, will:1. Result in the educational and/or social enrichment of deserving individuals who, without a Foundation grant, would be unable to attain the education they are intellectually capable of achieving, or be afforded the appropriate environment necessary for proper development of character and innate skills. Grants are not limited to individual students; rather, they may also be made to educational and social institutions in order to help provide the funding or the support needed to enable the institution to provide the service that achieves the Foundation's objective. Grants may include individual academic scholarships as well as funding and/or logistics support of educational/social institutions such as private schools and youth hostels/halfway houses.2. Contribute to an enrichment of the quality of life for the citizens of a community that might otherwise not be possible without Foundation support of such an effort. Grants might include, but are not exclusive to, social and/or educational projects and the like which receive no government tax-dollar funding and, therefore, do depend solely on private contributions for their existence.

The B R Chamberlain Foundation does an amazing job of benefitting the community. It has donated millions of dollars to worthy people, projects and organizations in Central Florida and throughout the World. It is a model for other similar Foundations and other Non Profit Organizations as B R Chamberlain has consistently maintained their administrative costs at 1.5% of their total revenues and gifts. The rest is given to benefit others. The Board is comprised of an extremely capable and dedicated
group of individuals who volunteer their time and expertise to help advance the Foundation's Mission.Donors can be assured that their gifts will be used for the purpose given.

B.R. Chamberlain Foundation for Public Enrichment, Inc. is a perfect example of an organization that serves others. An example is how the Foundation creatively developed a plan for the acquisition of an office building to be used by a missionary organization. The resulting purchase and lease to the missionary organization immeasurably enhanced the ministry's financial situation and allowed it to consolidate its functions into one location, increasing its operational efficiency. This would not have happened but for the Foundation's involvement. The Foundation adheres to the highest standards of ethics and selects board members who actively contribute to the overall purpose of the Foundation. Having served on a number of boards over the years, I can say that the board of the Foundation stands out as one of the best simply because of the quality of the individuals serving on the board. The Foundation has served me personally by setting up donor advised accounts which allows me to consolidate my giving annually for tax deduction purposes and then direct the funds to tax exempt organizations I support, such as First Presbyterian Church Orlando, Mercy Drive Ministries, Inc., CRU (Campus Crusade), and Jobs Partnership of Florida, Inc. Each of these tax exempt organizations are making life changing differences for the constituencies they serve, and through the Foundation I am able to help make those changes.
