Mission: An association of individuals, corporations, and organizations allied to enable a clean, vital, and accessible boston harbor and to promote understanding of its relationship to the region.
Programs: To enhance boston harbor through promoting a clean, alive, and accessible waterfront. In addition, monitoring water quality, supporting beach restoration, supporting water transportation network, educating youth and others through various public serivce inititatives, promoting a "green" working port, and promoting public understanding and action on climate change and sea level rise as it affects boston harbor and the waterfront.
The Boston Harbor edge has been transformed from a place nobody would think of visiting to an exciting harbor walk visited by Bostonians and many from around the world. The major credit for this transformation and the driving force is their leader, VIVIAN LEE. Along with her drive to get abutters to provide rest rooms and share part of their waterfront, she has programs to enlighten the public about its history and heritage. These are accomplished by walking tours meetings and harbor boat trips. Thank you Vivian! Martin and Sallie Katz
