I have been a supporter of AWWIN for over 10 years. After working in the background with the organization and it's founder, Sarahlyn Argrow, I now serve as President of the AWWIN Board of Directors. I have seen the difference that AWWIN makes in the lives of the women we serve. Assisting Working Women in Need is what AWWIN stands for and it is what the organization does through professional development classes, job placement for clients, financial assistance and much more.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

seeing the results of the impact of AWWIN's Professional Development Classes and client support services. I have seen the lives of women transformed from being desperate to being in control of their destiny.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the difference we can make in someones life when we give them a hand up.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

dedicated to the mission of AWWIN, "Changing Lives, One Women at a Time."

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

help more women and children by changing their enviroment and their thinking. With 10 million dollars, Sarahlyn could build the AWWIN Professional Development Center(s) that she dreams about.

AWWIN, Inc., under the leadership of Sarahlyn U. Argrow, is truly a ray of hope, inspiration, and motivation for the community that it serves. Over the last few years, I have watched AWWIN empower the lives of many women who thought that there was no hope left and that no one cared enough to really help them make a change in their lives for the better. AWWIN, Inc., through its various programs, has empowered women to go from not having a high school diploma to earning a four year college degree. AWWIN is truly a powerhouse that is changing the lives of women daily.

What I've enjoyed most about my experience with AWWIN is seeing the lives of women who thought they were down and out blossom into a budding rose mentally, academically, socially, and spiritually.

It is with much pleasure and pride that I can say I am a Board Member of AWWIN Inc. This organization is truly a gift to all who come in contact with it, whether it be as a volunteer, a sponsor, board member, by far the hundreds of women whom receive assistance, etc. I have had the honor of caring for the children of these self-determined women in a school setting while they attended the Professional Development Class (a 15 week class that teaches the women computer skills, to broaden their vocabulary and sentence structure, affirmation for confidence, etc providing all supplies needed) free of charge through AWWIN! Unlike many corporations that exist today, AWWIN Inc is an incorporation that gives each associate a “hand up” and not a hand out! By saying this I mean; it provides women with the resources they need to make it through successfully and comfortably for a lifetime and not just a moment if they will. I’m a firm believer in “you can learn something from everyone and anything if you are simply open to the positive” and AWWIN exemplifies this as well as teach it. AWWIN was founded on the principles of self efficiency, tenacity, love, independence and list continues; all in which I feel exude from its founder, Ms. Sarahlyn U. Argrow.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

be a betterment to many communities while continuing to break the cycle of poverty, boosting self sufficient women to take care of what they should and stop procastinating.

I have worked closely with AWWIN since its inception. I am a supporter and a volunteer and Board Member. AWWIN’S gives a “hand up” to women and teaches them the essential tools (computer skills, interviewing skills, life skills, etc) needed so they can make better lives for themselves and their families. Sarahlyn, the founder, is very compassionate about helping the women. And with the help of volunteers, the community and supporters she is dedicated (and will) help turn communities around. The organization has touched hundreds of lives. And I believe with Sarahlyn’s drive and her compassion, AWWIN will continue to touch thousands more in a very short period of time.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

seeing the "before" and "after" results of the many women who's lives have been transformed after working with AWWIN.

I Have personally observed the growth and involvement of AWWIN in helping working women almost since its inception. I am a supporter and applaud the great help and support they have provided to women in the Savannah area. Ms Argrow has been a tireless advocate in spearheading the organization and have risen to a level rarely seen in such a short period of time. Their success has grown not only in numbers but also in quality. This is readily recognized by the diverse employment opportunities afforded to some of the graduates of their programs. I have also provided technical and operational support when requested.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Observing the organization at work, growing and expanding their scope. AWWIN is always seeking new avenues for expansion and never appear to be satified with the status quo.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

It is gratifying to see an organization start up and actually accomplish some of their goals and objectives according to their mission statement.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

The staff and workers, as well as receiptients, are happy and motivated and very appreciative of the efforts put towards trying to make their lives better.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Benefit a lot more women and decrease the incidents which it was formed to address.

It has been a pleasure working with Saralyn over the past few months. Her knowledge, determination and commitment to the community is a real treasure... With AWWIN's founder and its volunteers, this organization will help single mothers beat the odds and teach them the skills and life lessons they need to succeed. I look forward to the months and years ahead in helping with this and many non-profit organizations

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Is that the dedication and commitment to assist single mother's in need of help through job training, transportation and commitment to themselves.

I have worked with AWWIN, INC as a volunteer. The work that they have done is to be commended. The impact on the ladies I had a chance to work with is beyond words. AWWIN, Inc. is making a difference in these ladies lives by providing them with the necessary job skills and eventually a better job opportunity. This organization is a great assest to our community. They deserve the chance to do even more.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Several of the ladies moving into better jobs and promotions at their current employer

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

make sure they had the money necessary to implement every program to the fullest.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Is the fact of hearing the ladies stories and to experience the growth that came from each class.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Very Helpful and very understanding of the ladies and thier plights.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Take this program throughout the country. It was not formed by someone who talked to someone who went through these situations, but by a person who went through this situration and can verify exactly how it feels to need assistance and not be able to fin

Ways to make it better...

There was more finiancing to help with everything AWWIN wanted to do

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Finances

One thing I'd also say is that...

I enjoyed the experience very much.
