I have been volunteering for the Achievement Center of Texas for over 5 years now. I use my time to put a bright smile on our clients faces, anything from hosting a golf tournament to playing the Easter Bunny. Thre is no greater pay than the warm welcome I get when I walk in over at ACT. The love and appreciation shown by these children and adults is so rewarding to me. ACT serves children and adults with special needs, Cerebra Palsy, Emotionally Disturbed, Mentally Retarded, Down Syndrome, and any other disability. I am also a member of the Board of Directors, which is a responsibility to keep our facility up to the highest standards.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
that I have seen huge results in the children and adults coming from other programs, the beautiful improvement they have made since being at ACT. It is amazing the love and individual attention our clients receive that makes them do a complete turn a round from where they were before attending our program
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Oh wow, this is a hard one as Im not sure that changes need to be made except to make the public more aware of our program and see the need for our very special children and adults that attend ACT
