I happily volunteer my time to Art Mundo. Guess the best way to describe it is; "Cheers, where everybody knows your name!". The four founders have taken nothing and made it into something and that something has taken on a creative life of its own. Way to go Art Mundo.

ART MUNDO, INC. is an eye opener. While new to the community, it is a true hidden treasure. My experience with ART MUNDO, INC. is beyond description. I run a Children's Afterschool Program here in Fort Pierce, called: Frontline For Kids. We just acquired a new property and was short on resources to beautify our facility with Art Work. Then comes ARTS MUNDO, INC. We now have some of the best Art Works possible. Thanks to the ladies at ART MUNDO, INC. Most impressive was their (ART MUNDO, INC's) ability to have the kids involved. The kids think their education through the Arts is AWESOME! Way to go! Jerome Gayman, Executive Director

Art Mundo has been launched only a year ago and has had wonderful media coverage from newspapers, magazines and radio. Art Mundo is the new nonprofit that has increased the presence of art and creativity in the St. Lucie County community. Classes to discover the artist within are offered to those who have yearnings to play with art, but are art inhibited. Technical classes to improve skills in various media are offered for the more practiced artist. Checking the Art Mundo website you might find a class for mixed media, assemblage, watercolor, mini basket weaving, polymer clay, wood carving, dremel use, matte framing or precious metal clay. Each month brings new class offerings. A recently added hanging system now offers gallery space for artists to exhibit. Monthly Art Walks and weekly Open Studios welcome people to socialize and work on personal art projects while intermingling with the more than 30 working studio artists. In this supportive, encouraging environment information, learning and networking abounds. Our community, as so many across the nation, has limited if any arts programs in the schools. It is part of the Art Mundo philosophy to do community Outreach. A residential and an after school program have already been initiated with an elementary school program soon to be added. Art Mundo believes the Arts are a necessary part for community spirit to thrive and blossom. While operating presently on a whisper of a budget it now has a volunteer who is dedicated to finding and writing for Grants that will help it become an even brighter presence on the art scene.
