I want to thank this wonderful organization for making my baby girl a quilt while my husband is deployed. We have not received it yet, but I know it'll be beautiful. It's amazing how some people take their time and make such a great memory for a stranger. I know she'll love it and we really really appreciate everything that's been done to the families of deployed soliders.

I volunteered for the ASYMCA in San Diego while I was stationed there. They have many great programs, and I was happy to get involved and support. Two of the most memorable ASYMCA programs I volunteered for included The Christmas You Missed and the Father-Daughter Dance. Both of these events have a lasting postive impact on San Diego's military families and each year grow larger and larger as word gets out more. I also helped out at the Drew Brees Celebrity Invitational Golf Tournament. This tournament benefits several charities including the ASYMCA and was just a fun event to be a part of.

I have volunteered with the San Diego branch of the ASYMCA for the past 7 years. They are a great organization that comes up with creative ways to help out our military. One of my favorite events they put on is Christmas You Missed every year in July where they recreate Christmas in July for those that were deployed with all details such as Santa, cookie/ gingerbread house decorating, and presents covered. They are a unique organization that has such a great impact on their community. They are well known and valued by all in the San Diego area that only adds to their nataional impact. When you are volunteering, you see the results immediately of your hard work. They set it up so their volunteers have no doubt that their work is worth the while and that they are volunteering at the best Non-profit in the nation.
