Programs: Provided credit counseling services in various communities in the u. S. In 2014 the company counseled over 5,500 individuals. Certified credit counselors interviewed callers about their budget and finances, discussing topics including employment, education, buying habits, major expenditures, and any significant past or anticipated changes in earnings, assets, expenses, and liabilities, including the reason or cause for those changes. the company conducted comprehensive budget planning and credit awareness programs. It distributed a handbook called "knowing and understanding your credit. " the handbook was made available to any consumer for free. The company's educational staff presented 58 "smart money" workshops for over 1864 attendees covering topics such as how to protect and improve credit standing, budgeting, managing personal finances, and managing debt. In addition, over 200,000 educational newsletters, "the acc advisor", were distributed via email to subscribers covering a wide range of personal finance topics providing information and education to improve the financial literacy of readers.
