Aiken County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
401 Wire Rd
Established in 1935, the Aiken SPCA is celebrating over 70 years of saving lives. Over the years, the Aiken SPCA has placed thousands of needy animals into loving homes. This success was achieved through the dedicated efforts of numerous Aiken SPCA employees and volunteers. It also hinges upon commitment, support and responsibility from our community. We are a non-profit organization operating under IRS Section 501(c)(3). We receive no support from state or federal agencies or from the ASPCA. We depend upon local donations to support our efforts to save the lives of homeless dogs and cats in our community. Our Board of Directors has undertaken the long-term goal of reducing the pet overpopulation problem in Aiken County by becoming proponents for stronger spay and neuter laws, and by increasing access to spay and neuter services.
Shelter over 125 animals. Promote spay and neuter programs, with on site services provided to over 2,140 animals per year.Provide Humane Education to various school children and the general public on responsible pet ownership.
