Review for T Ruah, New York, NY, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I traveled to Israel with RHR a couple of times, to volunteer in their planting of trees on both sides of the green line as well as to witness for myself what is happening there.I was educated by great leaders as well as parents who have lost children, mothers who stand up for justice, and many others who desire peace. RHR makes me feel proud to be Jewish because I know our highest principles are being upheld, and feel inspired to act for peace and justice.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

being re-inspired that Judaism's highest, and deepest principles are being upheld by rabbis who really care how we act, both in Israel and in North America.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

make it more visible. make it more organized.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the rabbis' commitment to peace and justice at all personal costs.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

amazing. dedicated. industrious truly cared about the people they were fighting for.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

do publicity, hire legal aids to help on cases that dont have enough money. educate the public about what is going on, both in Israel/Palestine, as well as in the world (RHR North America is workinghard to publicize global slavery and trafficking

Ways to make it better...

more people knew about this organization. It is a too well kept secret!

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

not enough funds to organize volunteers

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

Role:  Volunteer & my life was changed by going with RHR to plant trees as well as to help harvest olive trees in the Occupied Territories. Saw first hand the Settlers around these fields waiting to disturb the olive harvest of these peasants. Also planted trees in poor Jew.
