My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Family Service Association of Redlands, Redlands, CA, USA
Redlands Family Service is one of the greatest organizations that I have volunteered at. As a young teenager they have taught me wonderful lessons and make me want to volunteer more. When ever I have gone to help out the people there are smiling and greatful for what I do. Let it be filling the shelves with canned food or packing supply bags, Redlands Family Service Center makes me feel like I can make a differnce. Not only does this group help many needy families in our town, they help the volunteers too. The place has a warm, happy atmosphere to it. No person can leave that place without becoming a better man. There are no words to describe how wonderful this place. They place food onto someone's table, and a simle on their face. This place is the best place for anyone to volunteer at, and I pray for their sucess. Thank you.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
While I volunteer there, I hear stories of families that have lost everything, are going through unbeliveable things, and how they find hope from this organization. I see that the people who volunteer there are genuinely there to help people out, not just for community hours (wich is common in other organizations). Because I do not work directly with the clients themselves, I do not know how they react, but I know that Redlands Family Service Center does whatever they can to help families.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
This organization is amazing. The only thing that I would chagne is to have more days on the weekends for volunteers to come. It is often hard for parents to come with their children on weekdays or the first Saturday of the month. Otherwise this place is flawless.
Would you volunteer for this group again?
For the time you spent, how much of an impact did you feel your work or activity had?
Did the organization use your time wisely?
Would you recommend this group to a friend?
What one change could this group make that would improve your volunteer experience?
Have more volunteer days on the weekends.
Did your volunteer experience have an effect on you? (teaching you a new skill, or introducing new friends, etc.)
Most certainly. I have made new friends, learned new skills. Yet most of all, I learned to value all the things that I have today, and be greatful and not greedy.
How did this volunteer experience make you feel?
I made me feel imporant. I made me feel that even though I am just one teen-age person, I can make a diffrence. It made me feel warm inside.
